Been watching the assembly. Isn’t there a rubber washer and a spacer on the shaft that needs to be installed before hammering it in? I’m rebuilding mine also.
I subsequently stripped my raw water pulley... Pump works great but pulley was destroyed. It delayed my trip to San Diego. I need to further investigate my reassembly of the pump to see what critical errors I might have made 😡 Not sure the spacer was critical but hey... Who knows? I'll talk about this in an upcoming episode
@@sailingfrogsleap you may have had the belt too tight. I think the nut worked loose causing the pulley to wobble and hog out the slotted hole. Just a thought.
I like music at 4:45 - killer beat man! S/V Frog’s Leap gets better and better with each episode! “Back to the Boat!”

Well done Charlie! Yes there is supposed to be a spacer in there! I skipped it 🤷♂️

@@sailingfrogsleap I used lock tight blue on the lock nut. Plus there is a flat washer on both sides.

I just did this but it still does not sit right with me driving the outer race in by applying force to the inner race/shaft end
Isn't there a rubber washer that goes in after the seal?
@@johnruby9816 Good catch John! I think there might have been. Thanks for watching!
