This album actually is where I started other than watching some of their old videos (you're rendition of Coyotes informed me of their existence by the way), and I'm pretty happy I started here. It might not be best for everyone to start here though because my tastes in music are so varied, I think I was fine. "The Ground Walks, with Time in a Box" is definitely my favorite followed closely by "Lampshades on Fire," "Coyotes," "The Best Room," and "Hansel." So, all in all, I pretty much agree with you guys and the review: very good album but definitely some weird tracks (aka Pistol).
Well this is a bit late, but what's your favorite Modest Mouse album? Mine would have to be The Lonesome Crowded West, and my favorite song is Truckers Atlas
I haven't gotten the chance to listen to this album yet but I might give it a listen after watching this video. I'd say The Lonesome Crowded West would be my favorite Modest Mouse album with The Moon & Antartica second. The Lonesome Crowded West would work well as a starting album but Good News For People Who Love Bad News is also a good start, as you said. Those two albums are so different though; a person could completely hate/love one or the other. If I had to pick a favorite song (without depending on my mood) it'd be Cowboy Dan. "He drove the desert, fired his rifle in the sky. And says, "God if I have to die you will have to die" is probably my favorite all time lyric.
The only reason I even bought the album is because you guys reminded me of Modest Mouse. My 2 favorite songs are Ansel and Pistol because it is really weird.
LopsidedPasta I haven't seen the mail video, but I'm the one who sent them (unless someone *else* sent them, too). I can't seem to find the shop I bought them at anymore, though, so I don't think they're selling them?
Yea I've went to amoeba records and got a bunch of albums and among them was this album I like most of it but I'm not used to the non-radio sound of modest mouse but I know how it is and like it I listen to good news for people like bad news and that album was eh liking most songs tho This album is basically the same reaction, except I have more listens go through love the released songs the rest still shaky on and actually I love "be brave" XD
I've never listened to Modest Mouse, can't say I'm a fan of them either. I listen to a lot of heavy metal and although they're rock, they're the type of rock I'm not really into.
Top five in no particular order The Fruit That Ate Itself The Lonesome Crowded West The Moon and Antarctica Building Nothing out of Something Good News For People Who Love Bad News

So many vlogs at one time.

5:30 the only problem I have with those songs is that there too short 😕
Do you like Dramamine by them Stephen?
It's my favorite.
Pyroars! I have a ton of favorites by Modest Mouse, and while I wouldn't put Dramamine at the top of the list, it's still a great song.
What do you think of the King Rat video?
Find music taste is all types of weird, but I’m hoping people enjoyed that album
Today I'm listening to this record and playing Mother 3. Life imitates Stephen.
Hey Stephen, what is your favorite modest mouse album?
I should listen to this album!
My 21st birthday on the 23 :))
Brittany Yesmont happy birthday!!!!!!! drink responsibly lol
YOU GOT THEM?
:DDD
GOD, MAL TURNED INTO A HEAD AAAAAAHHHH!
My favourite album right now is Bulletproof Picasso by Train. There's only like one song on there that I don't really like.
I actually preferred this album to Good News. Yes, I'm aware that I am part of an extremely small minority. (Good News is still super rad though)
I thought the album was relatively meh, doesn't touch M&A/Long Drive/my favorite Lonesome Crowded West
Where did you get the Saturn's Coffee?
LopsidedPasta Someone sent it to us! We opened it in a recent mail video

I actually thought Mal was in a garbage bag XD
Top five in no particular order
The Fruit That Ate Itself
The Lonesome Crowded West
The Moon and Antarctica
Building Nothing out of Something

I thought the record is okay, however Pistols is one of the worst songs they've made so far.
Listen to twenty one pilots. Please.
