    Thanks for the video. I purchased this battery box in hopes of using my Litime 12.8v 100A battery. However, the clearance is so tight that when I push the tray and battery in, the negative terminal boot slides off, exposing the bare terminal. How did you install the negative cable, i.e. orientation, on the battery?

    Seams a overkill if you use 100ah or 1280 whit won't run 2000w for long , I don't know why anyone that makes a box that well take a 200 or 300w battery. Most 100ah batteries BMS only gives around 50anp

  • @SgtSkrog
    @SgtSkrog ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You mention update to 200AH, I could not find dimensions to see if one would fit. Does the documentation show the size battery that will fit inside the tray? Looks like it has to fit the same footprint of a 100AH. Can not find a 200AH that size. But even with a 100AH for about 300, hard to find a prebuilt one at that capacity of 2000W. Their cyberbox 3000 caught my eye when I saw 220V, but pretty sure it is a European model. Would be nice to get an inexpensive unit that could do the well pump. Versus combing two units to get 220V.

    • @heart4Pahoa
      @heart4Pahoa ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The manufacturer website states that a 300AH battery can be used as well, but like you, I can’t find a footprint dimension for those kinds of capacities that would fit in the case. Perhaps they expect you to leave it cables externally 🤷‍♂️

    • @atranimecs
      @atranimecs ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Its easy
      Watts = Voltage x Amps
      Amps = Watts ÷ Voltage
      Watt hour =
      Voltage x Amp hour
      12V 100Ah Battery:
      12v x 100 Ah
      = 1200 Watts of power
      Theoretically, that means you can run a 100 Watt device for 12 Hours.
      However it is less due to resistance, power loss, and battery degradation.
      This battery box has a solar input MAX:
      20 Amps @ 12V:
      12v x 20 Amps =
      240 Watts
      Therefore if you bought a single 240W 12V Solar Panel, you would provide the max input available on this box.
      If your Solar Panel provides 240w for 6 hours:
      240 x 6 = 1440 Watt Hours
      1440 Watt hours Converted to Amp Hours:
      1440W ÷ 12v = 120 Ah
      Theoretically you do have power loss through this process so the math isn't exact.
      But if you wanted to Max Out the capability of this battery box and say Charge it and Discharge it everyday....you would need:
      12V -120Ah LIFEPO4 Battery
      12V 240W Solar Panel
      You could go larger on the Battery but keep in mind the Solar Input won't charge it in one day.
      A total of 1440 Watt Hours means you can run a 100 Watt device for 14.4 Hours.
      Hope this helped.

    • @atranimecs
      @atranimecs ปีที่แล้ว +1

      PS. The 6 Hours of Solar Charging I used in my example is the average peak sun exposure measurement used when getting a ballpark for solar needs. Depending on your area it may be better or worse.

      Also understand the proper wiring to use! Never exceed the Amp rating of a wire, you can look up appropriate wire sizes for the Amp rating of a device!
      Never draw more Amps or Wattage than a system like this is designed for...READ THE MANUAL FOR SPECS

    How can I run a Blue Seas DC distribution box in a small trailer while charging box using Anderson port? I wouldn’t want to use the 12v cigarette as that is limited to 10A and ideally I’d like 25A minimum to the DC distribution box?
