I lived in Abu Dhabi for 3 years and have visited numerous times. It is a great city to visit. Sheikh Zayed mosque is magnificent, the Abu Dhabi Louvre is wonderful, loads of great restaurants and bars. It's really a city to visit, look around and chill out a lot (but don't go in July/August!). It's true drinks are very expensive - so look for happy hour deals. Haha, loved the Yallah! Yallah!

When you pay for your flights do you immediately or automatically get reservation for the hotel you chose while booking the flight ? or You have to first pay for the flight and then later book the hotel later on the ethiad website using the reference code

Your checked-in luggage will be transferred to the next flight. You will only have hand luggage for the duration of your stopover.

Yeah, we had to keep checking and almost give up getting the free deal. Then 2 hotels popped up, one near the airport and the one we stayed in.
