- Join us in Episode 24 of our Ultimate World Cruise series as we delve into the heart of Lima, Peru's vibrant capital. Perched on the Pacific coast, Lima serves as a mesmerizing gateway that bridges the ancient mysteries of the Inca civilization with the dynamic pulse of modern urban life. As two retirees passionate about travel, we invite you to journey with us through this fascinating city.
Leaving the enchanting city of Cusco behind, we venture into Lima for a brief yet unforgettable visit. From the contrasting landscapes of lush mountains to the arid coastal desert, our arrival in Lima unveils a city of stark diversities. Our exploration begins in the upscale district of Miraflores, known for its stunning cliffside malls and breathtaking ocean views, offering a glimpse into Lima's affluent side.
As we meander through the city, we encounter the Larcomar Mall, ingeniously integrated into the cliffs, and the picturesque district where the city meets the sea. The highlight of our Lima experience is the ancient clay pyramid of Huaca Pucllana, a testament to the city's rich pre-Columbian heritage, and the enchanting Park of Love that captures the romantic essence of Miraflores.
Our journey culminates in the awe-inspiring Magic Water Circuit, where we join locals and tourists alike in admiring the dazzling display of fountains, lights, and music-a perfect end to our day in Lima.

Oh man, I wish you had more time in Lima... The food and the restaurants are amazing there is just nothing like it. Enjoy your trip!!
Lovely video again 👍 The fountains art show was amazing! Thank you for sharing 😀
Beautiful resume of a big city mixture of European, Andean, Asian and African people! Nice video
We went there on our cruise. We did it at night and it was beautiful with the light sprays
I love the snazzy new 'pop art' of you two on the opening title! it looks very slick :) That was interesting - Lima notable for one of the highest airports in the world (above MSL). As is the case with many places, there is poverty alongside great wealth - it's sad to see such a discrepancy when some have SO much (Gates, Bezos etc) all from the ordinary man. Ah well - it was ever thus I suppose. A life in the small villages of the Andes would be preferable - clean air, clean water, peaceful, safe. The fountain show at the end was genius! once you've built it, it's a cheap display to run and looks like it brings a lot of happiness and also business to the area. I expect you are glad to get 'home' to you cabin and chill for a couple of days - it looked a packed schedule and added to the altitude, I guess that was a tiring excursion. Enjoy the rest and see you soon!
I've just checked out the rest of the intinerary on Cruisemapper and can't wait to see the rest!
lovely
Thanks for the wonderful videos. Keep them coming.
It’s amazing with subtitles. I’m Brazilian woman and l’m improving my English with your videos . They are very good. The scenes are beautiful as your explanations. Sorry for my mistakes. I’m so exciting waiting for the next video. Congratulations.
I've been to that mall. It's nice. It was within walking distance from where I stayed. I was there for a week, and did some amazing adventures up in the mountains with the mountain people who had just been connected to the city by their first road just a few years prior. They had lived in the mountains for thousands of years without access to the city. You should look at the architecture between the different areas. It's very interesting.
Extra wideo, regards
More kewl stuff.....It's interesting to see a lot of stuff in English, And all the major stores located there..........
Thanks for another great video. Love the fountains and the water light show.
My heart breaks for the people of Valparaiso. Prayers to those effected by or in the path the devastating wildfires. Did you see the fires or experience the smoke while you were there?
😀😀😀
WELCOME TO PERÚ 🇵🇪😍
How much you had to pay extra for this excursion? What were included in this price? Thanks. I am enjoying your vlog very much.

you needed 4 days here
I worked with a guy that was born and raised in Lima. He was getting his Computer Science degree from the University of Maryland. He was 1/2 Chinese and 1/2 Peruvian. He was very good looking. His father had been a General in the Peruvian army and his mother was an MD in Peru. He was super smart, extremely well mannered all around nice guy.
I thought I would take a look at your video, but...not my style. I was especially put off by your comment of your first impression when landing at the Lima airport. Remember, you are in a developing country, so there will be poverty. I must admit, I didn't watch all the video. I lost interest. Enjoy your travels.
