Our journey in Puntarenas offers a blend of relaxation and adventure. From the moment we set foot in this city, with its island-like feel and surrounding waters, we knew we were in for a treat. Our day is packed with a tour to the lush jungle, where we hope to catch a glimpse of crocodiles, tropical birds, and perhaps the majestic scarlet macaw in its natural habitat.
The highlight of our tour is the Skyway, featuring high-hanging suspension bridges that offer breathtaking views over the crocodile-infested Tarcoles River and the dense Costa Rican jungle. This unique perspective of the rainforest canopy is a rare opportunity to connect with nature at its most pristine.
As the day unfolds, we enjoy local cuisine, planning to end our visit with a dinner in town, where the promise of a 'macho burrito' awaits. Puntarenas is a gateway to Costa Rica's rich biodiversity, from the crocodile river to birdwatcher's paradise, making it a destination filled with discoveries.
