I would never rely on the family of someone to tell me if he Is good or not. They might Say someome terrible Is good and someone angelic Is bad. People of the same family most of the time are never neutral in their Judgment. Same with asking to the Friends or people in their society. People can be very false to others. I want to see how a Person Is by myself. Only me I can judge a Person.

We are advised to do istikhar before any life decisions and research the person you want to espouse. You can have a background check on them. If you find no flaws and marry them and they turn out to be fake, double face then the blame is on them. Divorce them
So what do i need to do ? 😔 I admit that i also seen a beautiful women , it's like love at first sight , i do want to know her before i could ask her out . So whenever i want to talk to a women , i always say to her , what is your name ? May i know you ? Every women I've encounter go away from me 😂 . But I didn't feel like depressed , i feel like oh , you don't want me , that's ok , you also got a choice . I do know some women who are beautiful but she has spikes that deeper than swords or bullet . So that's why whenever i want to be in relationship with a women , i want to know her first , THEN I'll ask her to be my girlfriend or a wife . Am i doing it the right way?
Getting to know someone should be the Islamic way brother and girlfriend is the way of kuffar. In Islam it is Haram to be seclusion for a man and women, may it be physically alone or on WhatsApp chat. The guardian must be present if you want to interact with the girl before nikah. But there are other methods like having your mother or sister help you out with that.
