This was fantastic to watch. Ive casted before audiences before, but usually small. Its a good experience. I hope I get to cast Tribes with you one day, Fishy
This was a really enjoyable watch for me... To listen to you guys talk about the event and the nostalgia, to see the names of the legends I am now friends with (and compete against) in T3, and to see how a high level TA match was played after I have heard about it second hand time and time again. Great content. I hope you and APC or another old school Tribes player can do more content like this in the future! Thanks Fish! -Ampjet
Also to add fishy, I have all the tsn casts (audio) from the Tribes Gala 2k. Give me a shout if u want copies of them. Also at UVA3 , when we were playing Tribes 2, the audience got behind the teams. they were chanting for Jimmy", one of the cappers who dazzled everyone. And yes, I have the audio for that too
It's fun to watch the e-sport style matches and all. And I like playing it _sometimes._ But I get tired of only playing one of a few well-defined roles with a small team depending on me to stick to it. Without player-hosted games, mods, vehicles, homemade maps, 32v32+ matches, it just can't feel like Tribes to me. Never forget that for T1&2 the LT crowd were a _sideshow_ until the main player base finally started to drift away. The two best Tribes games weren't designed for the hardcores.
I think there's a place for both types of play in the Tribes community. I do miss the hell out of base, but for the competitive side of things, I love LT.
Looking at this game brings back so many memories, loved Tribes: Ascend. Never gotten around to trying any others.
I agree so much with your co caster saying about "this is the core of Tribes esports" at 1:27:00 onwards

I hope so too!
Love seein some of this TA stuff. I was not tuned in to any of this back then, so I missed it.
Glad you liked it! I want to do some more older Tribes content for sure.
