I realise how difficult it is to film the adventure, so many things to think of . You my friend have nailed it . I am very great full for your efforts thank you.
This video needs to be entered into the Sundance Film Festival in cans for new films. I swear you would win. One of the best outdoor videos I've seen in a long time. Perfect 10 for the camera man Perfect 10 for the the scenes that was captured. Last but not the least, Perfect 10 to the actors ( Doug and his buddy Joe ). Lots of laughter and goofing around add to the joy of watching.
Super Beauty =) Thank You Pastor for taking ``Buddy Joe`` along with ``All`` of Us. Thank GOD for ``All`` of our Forefathers, Uncles, Family, and Friends who ever took even one of ``Us Goobers`` on a Great Adventure. You Are ``All`` Every One ````Legends```` Thanks again !!! =) ****cheers**** =D
can always appreciate another perspective. You have an eye for beautiful scenery and I do enjoy both Joe's and your versions. Both appeal to me in different ways! Make more vids with Joe please!
I was smiling through the entire video! Thanks! Your story about the bivy and the fish hook had me laughing so much! Beautiful snowy scenes! Thanks again!
I just LOVE how you and Joe are! I get a good kick out of how much FUN you both have. I wish I could do that but my health wouldn't let me do what you two do. I hope to see more. Thank YOU VERY MUCH!
Yippee, I need a Doug Video this morning! 😊 you have an admirable personality Doug, you had a miserable night sleeping in that Fair weather tent, (Bivvy is that what you call it?)but would not let it keep you down. Happy to make your exit in the beautiful outside with a bit of lovely snow.
This was an awesome video and just love the "Daring/Comical Duo" together again!!!! LOL! Love your positive spin on whatever comes your way in the end. You did a very good job of capturing the scenery and gave a good feel for the scope of the descents and rise levels that you had to traverse in wet and slippery conditions. (Glad Joe was ok after his mishap with the rock and wet slippery leaves on the slope.) (Your remark: "Want me to cut it off?" Such a Dad thing to say! LOL!! I laughed out loud on that one!) So sorry you had a miserable night in your Bivy, but as you noted, it was a lesson learned on what not to use in inclement weather conditions. I'm sure the other campers appreciate that revelation and will use other means of shelter for that type of weather conditions for their camping needs. You are such an inspiration and a great fisherman. I thoroughly enjoy and learn from your videos and I am very entertained and grateful you go to the trouble to bring us along for the experience with you guys!!! Take care of yourself and rest up and then, please bring us along on your next adventure! Peace and good fortune!!
I give you credit keeping up with the young pup, Joe. Your photography is very sharp, focused and creative....Love it. And as always, you are a fantastic fisherman!
That man that was awesome I love the way you joke around and seeing rate you get some good shots with that camera awesome sauce with the camera I love seeing the video again I watch the shows and I watch yours both of them are awesome but I have to meet yours Takes the Cake really awesome I love it but it don't matter if you all great keep up the good work thanks man
Great video Joe & Doug! 👍 There's nothing like a camping trip with good friends to share the good & bad experiences. Awesome footage. Thanks for sharing Doug!
Wonderful scenery you captured, and the addition at 14:55 a second before you say "thank you". lol Poor little Joe doesn't know better. Lolol on the " camping sometime in warmer weather. You are a natural comedian Doug. Nice whistling. I agree that would have been neat to continue sharing parts of the whistling Christmas tunes. Hard to whistle walking up hill if your short of breath lol. Great video Doug!!
Your a wonderful person, your video captures the life around you, may it be the river, the trees or moss on a rock, the chemistry between yourself and Joe is amazing, never lose the passion.
I tried something I've never done before. I've seen you guys do trips together, both good videos, but here I tried switching between videos in segments, like walking to a common (recognizable) point like where you are both chatting , or fishing, or having lunch, setting up camp, going to seeing the falls, then returning to camp, fire, and dinner, then suffering the night rain, and coffee after wet sock in the bv. I felt a bit more like I was walking along with you guys. I found it real interesting, watching and listening to two videos at the same time. Real glad you two guys could get together after Joe relocated to new diggs. You both do great vids, especially cool when it's a common video. Thanks both for what you do. Keep 'em coming. (Commenting to you both)
Loved this video. Dang hope Joe is ok. That place was gorgeous. Water fall was amazing. Wouldn't want to get swept over that one for sure. Glad you and Joe had a safe trip. Love your videos with Joe. I can't stop laughing when you two get together. God Bless and thanks for the video.❤☺
Awesome video Doug, Beautiful scenery Loved that fire caught some nice fish too. I bet with all that hiking & fresh air, and a full belly, it didn`t take long for that hypnotizing fire to make your eyes heavy. Other than your bivy, all in all looks like a grand time indeed. Thank You Doug for sharing your video, and bringing us along on your overnighter. ATB
I love your outdoor adventure videos. I also really liked the camping ones. I hope you do more esp talking about your gear and when and why you use things. Beautiful footage, I always feel like I’m there with you, I even started feeling cold!
Goober to Monkey to Squirrel to Dwarf to Not Danger Doug to Mountain/Billy Goat or Sheep to Missing Joe to Lying Fisher to Good-old Joey to Falling/Hurt One to Drenched Boy to Balsam Snow Eater to Samsquanch.... What an adventure!
What a super neat video!!! Beautiful area and falls. Two fun, crazy guys that had me cracking up several times as I watched the woodmen adventures with the Tree 'goober', the bivie monster and the escape from the treble hook. Great job, Doug!
Watching this, knowing you had two broken bones; you are one tough Doug, much respect. Hope the docs can get you all fixed up, and you can go out and enjoy yourself again.
I can’t believe how fast you shook that horrid night off. Love your videos. I made myself a strop like you showed and it works beautifully. Thank you for the inspiration and encouragement.
Hey Doug ! I enjoy your Vids alot ,You got me back outside camping and hiking as I did very often in my 20's .So thanks man from Alabama ! The big pine tree makes me think about a book I loved in my youth call "My side of the mountain'' a boy makes his home in a hollow tree.
Its a good read regardless! his parents died suddenly and his Grandfather had lived on the mountain in the same manner if memory serves. So he goes there for a few years to live alone .
Yep I remember reading that book myself. He covered the entrance to his treehouse with deer skins. My Side of the Mountain, yup. He was a runaway, but I can't remember the reason why
You guys are so funny and playful. What a wonderful place to hike. That falls is Scarey. Too many rocks and a steep drop on all sides. Be safe. Yea, some people do camp when it is not snowing, raining or windy. You guys are nuts. LoL 🐱💞
Doug, you find the coolest stuff to tape, really love stuff like the mushrooms on the fallen tree. Joe, you are crazy! Fun stuff. Watching for a second time.
Doug your editing is getting really good. I just wanted to make sure you knew that not only are you fliming alot more cool broll and stuff to watch its alot more cinematic this one. I like it!
Nice over night trip. That area totally reminds me of areas in the Rockies I seen this past summer. As always thanks for sharing and I look forward to some winter camp action! Cheers, John
Great video! Thanks for the terrifying part on the log over the river! I honestly had to look away! 5 kids, all grown, still amused by my fear of their antics on rooftops when installing metal roofing! Argh! I am one of your biggest, hopefully not largest, and maybe oldest fans! I look forward to your version as much as Joes! Keep them coming!
I'm glad Doug made the comment that there is camping when the weather is nice. Everytime I watch either Doug or Joe go into the woods it rains or snows at least one day. I thought that only happened to my family. Love the video you guys, I hope you do more together soon and maybe show a little more of campfire nights, it's fun to watch and hear you guys play off each other and just hang out. One request- please try to catch what both people are saying, I usually can't hear both sides of a conversation. But then I'm old and a trifle deaf.
So, you guys got your Ol' Goat on I see. :) What a fantastic trip! Well, other than your wet sock experience... Man, that is the stuff I'd LOVE to be in, absolutely gorgeous terrain!! Thanks for you & Goober for going!
Great job, Doug, loved the clarity of you photos, even while you were walking. Love the way you show us the treasures you find at your feet and nearby as well as the panoramic views.
I love that you mentioned "Harry And The Hendersons"! That was a great movie! Seen it many times since it came out around 1987. Was recently I had watched it... AGAIN.
Great video Doug and did a good job showing the beautiful view you guy seen, And I do love to winter camp and just getting out there, doesn't matter if raining or not, just got to take the bad and the good and just go with it. Thanks for sharing guys
Very awesome photography. Pretty scary in some spots along those edges but so worth the scenery. The two of you together always makes for some pretty good laughs. Thanks for sharing.😘
Love how you and joe joke around all the time makes the video more enjoyable to watch👍🏼
The scene of the fire and warefall at about 39:30 would make a great postcard! Awesome!
"some people try to camp in good weather...have to try that sometime!" love that one Doug - Ha!
I realise how difficult it is to film the adventure, so many things to think of . You my friend have nailed it . I am very great full for your efforts thank you.
Doug, your videos are never disappointing. Dont tell joe. But I had to watch your video first. Great trip!!
Love how you and Joe can do the same trip, yet have different videos. You guys are dank af 😂😭
I agree, watching both give a different flavor. You're also fun to watch together, you compliment each other well.
I like how you call him young Joseph, I started calling our son in law young Zach. Lol you guys are good to watch. Keep them coming. Please.
Great film. Good to see two different views of the same adventure. Thanks :)
Very cool!
Does the guy with Doug makes films too then?
@@garyhertswildcamper8958 Doug has put a link in the intro comment to Joe Robinet
I know, it was a feeble attempt at humour.
@@garyhertswildcamper8958 did think that was a possibility! Lol, but i said it anyway to be on the safe side. :)
Another Doug and Joe show awesome .Thanks guys .
