That is so great to hear. Glad you found this as an approachable way to learn 3D Medusa. Are there any other new strategies out there that you want to learn?
@@SmartHobbies I always try to use simple coloring first but if it doesn't work i use 3d medusa. I always find it very useful because, even if I use elimination rules, the puzzle because easier due to the eliminations of candidates. This helps me when I'm really stuck
@@SmartHobbies I usually use hodoku to solve sudokus. Actually I really love solving sudoku on paper but I often got stuck in the hardest ones so for these sudokus I use hodoku. Moreover, it helps me find better strong and weak links (in the case of AIC), and it's useful to eliminate all colors when you notice a color is false. For 3D medusa I don't know why this technique is so underrated, I mean it allows you to avoid some AICs and even sue de coq and it's not so hard as they think, what do you think about it?
@@andrecc77 I love 3D Medusa. When used with Hodoku and candidates showing, it’s a fun and powerful way to solve more advanced puzzles. Thank you for sharing.
Sound great Bruce. Three sisters is one you can try on your own. There are several spots in the puzzle where you can start applying 3D Medusa. The other examples will need be applied only where I start from in the video.
@@SmartHobbies Still haven't watched the video. I read about 3D medusa from one of those links & oh boy, I hope you explain it in simpler language. I did the 3 sisters as you suggested: very enjoyable puzzle. Like you, I love these hand crafted sudokus. Now to watch the vid!
1:33 out of the 22 bi-value cells marked, I am only able to find 8 of them… 😢 there must be tons of strategies applied before the starting of the tutorial. Also, in the linked CTC page, the 8 and 9 in block 7 were not given

Glad you liked it. Thank you for the kind words. 😀
Great video on Medusa 3D coloring! Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
I avoided learning this technique for a long time just because the name 3D medusa was too intimidating. But actually it is simpler than I thought!

I really like this technique cause it is such as the most powerful of all
Me too! How much coloring do you use when solving Sudoku?

@@andrecc77 Nice. Thank you for sharing. What app or method do you use to solve with 3D Medusa?

Looks interesting. So Timberlake, which one(s) were we supposed to try on our own? Hopefully I get a chance to watch later today or Monday evening.

struggles for one hour and still can’t figure out why the 2 can be eliminated from R1C6 and R7C9.
We only got one 2 from starting point, right?
(Update)
Other three sample solved in 17:33, 13:11, 14:35, by similar logic with the video🎉
Great job.
