Baby AR Wing pro : long test flight, 191km, over 3 hours, 2S4P

  • This is video of longest test flight of Baby AR wing pro.
    Baby AR wing pro repeat 3 waypoints flight many times automatically
    to estimate flying efficiency and maximum flying distance of 2S4P celllular phone batteries.
    This rough efficiency, 79mah/km by 2S4P is very good one.
    Any other small airplanes include Talon 250G, Nanogoblin, Dart 250G did not reach to 80mah /km
    maybe due to relative small wing area.
    Of course Baby AR wing pro has relative wide wing area and enough inner space for batteries as like AR wing pro.
    The autolaunching power of this power set was enough to heavy Baby AR wing pro that get 2S4P LiVH .
    Additional loading of 2S1P maybe not impossible .

    This is a very impressive demonstration and accomplishment. As indicated in the intro, it implies 200+ km possible in the right conditions. ♥😎👍👍
    Did you every fly your Zeta Z84 on endurance missions? Think it might be the only other similar sized aircraft to have such such good efficiency. In RC-Groups (4-6 years ago) there was a thread/group of pilots working on tuning the Z84 to maximize achievable distance.
    The final approach and landing was very smooth, just like a 787 Dreamliner coming in after flying half way around the globe. ;)

      Thanks, I had ever set Zeta Z84 as simple fpv flying for speedy one without FC at long time ago
      I think that would be another good long range airplane because of good wing type & wide inner space

    Congratulations, you gained a subscriber, how did you get Solum gps to work? Did it have a cell phone chip in it?

      The Solum has no GPS receiver, but that gives location information to my phone by communication with nearby other cellular phone( only several Galaxy, not I phone) or nearby base radio stations.
      This item is very useful to rescue crashed airplanes or to monitor flying airplane from long long far away position.
      In addition, you have eagle eyes ^^

    I have a serious OSD flicker problem with the 412wte, I saw that yours didn't flicker the OSD during acceleration. What did you do? Big hug.

      Sometimes, I met OSD flicker, too.
      I am sorry, but I don't know a definite cause of that.
      Fortunately, the connection of capacitor to board reduced flicker.

    How to modify the original engine mount to adapt the 2203.5 3300 engine? Do you have any detail photos?

      Sorry, but I have no photo.
      I only had made another two holes that adapted to 2203.5 motor.
      This method had no problem, but if you do not select motor, I recommend other motor that has adapted holes as like 2105 kv3600

      This is small sized flying wing that has only one propeller
      but usually drone has 4 propeller ^^
      Near whole portion of this video was recorded DVR(digital video recorder) that has no mic so you can not hear any sound

      @@EriccoInertialsystem Because I did not set damper or gimbal system at camera, some shock or vibration of video cannot be absent .
      For absolute stable video you need 2 or 3 axis camera gimbal systm as like DJI drone.
      And this wing has flight controller that including 6 axis gyro and GPS receiver,
      so relative stable flight and autonomous planned flight could be done .

      Empty weight is 213 grams and one cell of batteries is about 60 grams ^^
