Me and my girlfriend would listen to this after a sleep over, sadly she died in 1982, 20yrs of age , listening to this making me very sad, I can see her face when I hear this, early mornings , singing this together. Oh thing is i still lover her.
I attended Virginia Commonwealth University music school when David did. One day we struck up a conversation in the piano lab. Playing on a Rhodes he played "If You Feel the Way I Do" for me, and it really impressed me. Years later the Lettermen recorded it, and I always felt I had been given a very special sneak-preview. He was also a big Moody Blues fan and could play damn near anything on keys...rock or classical. So sad he's gone..,
@@MrClitheroe Wikipedia pisses me off. If you look at the article's history, you'll see that I noted that he passed away in its original form. It's been edited to show him still alive because I don't have a source to confirm his death. Of all the unsubstantiated facts on Wikipedia, this is the one someone is worried about.
Back in my radio days I used to play this on my Saturday Breakfast show (81 - 92). I don't know if anyone actually set their watches by it but it's nice to think that when I said "Hey, guess what. It's Ten to Eight" it became as much a part of their routine as it did mine. I first came across the disc when I found it in the 10p box in my local record shop. I took it home, played it and was won over.
Great song, should have been a big hit, so much better than todays rubbish. 70s. Were the best for music.

I’m almost 60 years old now, I was back in time upon hearing this. 2nd year high school, lazy afternoon with classmates.
It was the first song that played when I fitted a radio for the first time to my car in 1980 brillant from cork city
Now that’s good music- Seattle

First time I saw a David Castle video. Thanks a lot!
