    The flathead will actually fit inside of the plastic bolt you were using the socket on. There is a groove for it near the back inside. You can use a flat head for both left and right sides.

    I just returned from Auto Zone an hour ago; where I replaced the bulb in like eight minutes in their parking lot. The sales guy said, you look like you know what your doing. LOL Thanks for sharing. I'd done this on older cars back in the day and wanted to be sure.

    Thank you sir. I was able to change my tail light within 20 min solely because of your video. I do not have any car background at all.

    Thank you, the video was a big help. On the 2011 model, the bolt is facing toward the rear of the car from the inside and very hard to get to (driver side), so I couldn't use the 7/16" socket, but was able to use a flat head screwdriver instead (like in the other video), and of course I had bought the 7507, not realizing that I must have the executive model and need the 7506 instead. Back to the auto parts store tomorrow for the correct bulb.

    Thank for posting this video! You made it some much easier and identifying the correct bulb. Yes it is the 7506 on my '13 Lux TDI.

    Exactly what I needed! Funny thing, as I was loosening the passenger side using my socket and extension, I let go to pull the assembly out and my socket and extension fell into the side of the door through that hatch! Of course it did, right? Luckily I could remove the spare, remove the tire tool kit and reach right in to get it. So, crisis handled.

    "Executive level". I'm not sure what package I have (2013), but there was only one bulb, a 7506L, which is a single filament bulb. I couldn't find that bulb at Walmart, so I got 7506, and am hoping for the best.

    Hi. Thanks for this video. Quick question. Do you know the size bulb for the lights on the trunk? Thought it was the same only to go and replace it with the bulb you suggested to find that it was an even smaller bulb.

    thanks for sharing the video. Are you saying the brake and turn signal are using the same bulb? How is that possible since the two lights are used in different senarios? Thanks.

    • @theredneckwizard8738
      @theredneckwizard8738  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The three functions do all use the same bulb because of the electronics and the way its wired.

    VW being made in ROW use metric nuts and bolts so a 7/16" socket is also the wrong fucking tool too. It's 11mm.

    Not very nice of you to insult the producer of the other video. Engligh isn't spoken everywhere, he has learnt it as a second language. How many languages can you speak? And as for your comment on the screwdriver, some models particularly those in the EU have a bolt head with both hex and flat/phillips fittings. Try not to be so negative it just reflects poorly on you.

      Joshua Whiting, Arabic and Spanish, but I'll keep this in English so that you can read it; go fuck yourself. I'm not trying to win a popularity contest.
