This is a simple video (without the editing help of my buddy, The DIY Dad) showing a simple way to make your own shaker style or craftsmen style cabinet doors and drawer fronts. I'm sorry for the shaky camera, but I was in the process of making one drawer front and decided it was a good time to whip out my phone and make a quick video that someone else may get some use out of. "Executive level". I'm not sure what package I have (2013), but there was only one bulb, a 7506L, which is a single filament bulb. I couldn't find that bulb at Walmart, so I got 7506, and am hoping for the best.

    Thanks for great video.just starting out with an interest in working with wood. Would glue be a good idea along with the screws?

    • @theredneckwizard8738
      @theredneckwizard8738 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, any time you can add glue it’s a good practice to. I say any time you can, because some joints you may not want them to be permanent. I like Titebond III for most everything I do and the glued joint will end up being stronger than the wood you’re working with. For joints you may need to separate in the future, I like Titebond Hide glue. It’s removable with heat.

    Exactly what I needed! Funny thing, as I was loosening the passenger side using my socket and extension, I let go to pull the assembly out and my socket and extension fell into the side of the door through that hatch! Of course it did, right? Luckily I could remove the spare, remove the tire tool kit and reach right in to get it. So, crisis handled.

    I had my old man buy me the Kreg Jig R3 and you've explained perfectly what needs to be done. Don't have the clamps and the wood is super SUPER hard so now I gotta figure out how I can get this done with no help. But it's just for a garden bed so I'll see what creative thing I can do to get this task done. Excellent vid. Ty for sharing your knowledge.

    Thnx for this, do you have to use a special clamp for this tool or can you use a regular one that doesnt fit the circle holder?

    • @theredneckwizard8738
      @theredneckwizard8738 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any clamp will work; it doesn’t have to be one that fits in the circle. It just makes it an easier one-hand operation if you do have the clamp with the disk on it.
