I have a very bad experience. My ex boyfriend and I dated for 3 years (2015-2018). The guy started cheating on me 2 months after we started dating and I really wanted to let him go because I hadn’t been attached to him much. He promised me he was going to change. He continued to cheat during the process and eventually I left Zimbabwe to go and study abroad and when I came back he told me we can’t be anymore only for me to find out that he had been having a relationship with some girl for months. I was so broken and I almost lost it because I gave him so many chances, stayed when everyone told me to leave but I held on to his promises and only for him to drop them just like that. It was so hard because I really believed this guy and as a person with a prominent position in church I didn’t think he would be that unfair. I think my biggest lesson was that, it doesn’t matter how much someone seems so spiritual, what is really important is having someone with a good character. The Bible says in John 17, you shall know them by their fruits. What is this fruit? Love, joy, peace, gentleness, loyalty, self-control... Doesn’t matter whether he is too religious or not. Their fruits matter!

This whole video got me feeling otherwise. Cheating is something else, it surely ruins a part of the one being cheated on, whether a huge or tiny part.. It does leave a negative impact on a person.
There was a point in the video, where abuti Dise stated his part of why he did it (as well as the moment his face changed because of the whole topic), i got so emotional. I believe not only the one being cheated on gets negatively impacted, but also the cheater - only if the relationship and the person their involved with, matters to them.
The part where sis Rego mentioned God being between them, and them having a mandate to fulfill, which was the reason why she stayed in the relationship... Yooooh!! That had me. 😭😭🤞🏽. Thank you so much for remembering why God placed you both together and deciding to march on through his will. He will surely reward you for that!

This was a deep video and it really shows that you've genuinely forgiven each other which is important when you choose to continue with the relationship.
My boyfriend cheated on me also during the early stages of our relationship and it really crushed me. I honestly didn't expect that considering how long we took to get yo know each other, pray about the relationship before we even got into it. AND for that to happen yoh 💔. And Rego has a point, I remember talking to our pastor about it and he told me to break up with him as that will result in him hurting me again.
Yoh guys.so what happened was I was too quick to say I forgive you without really going through the stages of forgiveness and now that lead to me also getting emotionally attached to someone 💔. Which really broke his hurt and something I am not proud of. The whole situation taught me forgiveness and understanding that you have to allow yourself to feel the pain. Would I do it again? No. We've worked so much on our relationship and have grown and that has to be seen.

I literally had to sit and actually concentrate on this and hear, which it ended being eye opening and educational in a way, also reminded me of so much that I went through being cheated on while I was going through the most in my life which somehow made me feel not good enough for him... Trust went away, walls were put up almost gave up on love took me over 4 years to be able to be open to loving again which it can't be easy especially when you got cheated on more then 3 times by the same man you keep forgiving just found myself in a new relationship with a friend and I'm still terrified and scared but I knew in my heart I had to take the risk....

It´s so hard for me to stay with a cheating partner. I was cheated on and when i found out. I ended it. I will forgive you but i am going out of your cheating life. This was a lovely topic and thanks for giving us your real life story and experience. I don't know if I would stay or walk away as I've not been in that situation. I know I'd expect my partner to forgive me, but I don't know if I would forgive him should he do that to me. We are human and we have fallen short of his glory, and I also believe that as a couple, challenging as it may be, it's important to not allow any gaps between the two. In my own personal experience, I've learnt to understand that leaving a gap is an opportunity for the devil to do his work and destroy families.
I'm glad you guys worked through it and were mature in the way you handled things and I truly applaud you for that.
