I watched that episode on bbc iPlayer recently as Gold never shows it apart from at Christmas, but that scene was cut on the iPlayer. Do we know why? It wasn’t offensive or anything I don’t understand why it isn’t there, especially as it’s the bbc, so it should be the original untampered with version
That scene where they are driving back with plants is me and my husband every time we go to a plant store or Home Depot! 😛 Edit: a television set, washing machine..😂
I am an American and I just now have discovered this sitcom. I can't praise it enough! I wonder how many British people really do know someone who acts like this Bucket woman? Ha! Ha! Ha!
they tried to extend the series (due to popular demand) but PR had a different idea (typecast burnout?) She played a sort of "Miss Marple" character after KUA but it fizzled out so she retired. If I remember correctly😁
We do get attached to things, don't we?! I resently wanted to thin out my books. Went through them all, could only let go off one!..Said to a friend, I just put a hand on a book , and feel every thing from it!! Bad habit, in New York and Burbank , here , frequent antick Book shop, and where ever. Have some real treasures. Someday find a home for them. From my grandfather , who sailed the Tall Ship, and loved to read, The entire Jules Verne literary collection. Just checked one, work. Travel to the Moon. All books with original French engravings, printed. Some in color ,dating 1913. Front page a Rocket to the Moon, launch. However , works translated to Danish. Pages intact but very fragile. Well, just thinking, books are ca 108 years old. Jules Verne was ,like Leonardo Centeries ahead off his time. We think we know it all, don't we.🇩🇰🇺🇸🇬🇧🤔🦅🗽🌅📬
Ahem, lol when I flew out of India on British Airways I got 2 bags free and could buy 10 more bags at $100 each so I packed up almost my entire apartment. 22 bags. My employer had given me $2000 shipping allowance so I used it. Very hard navigating all the luggage alone on 2 carts as airport at final destination was self service only. Had to push one cart a bit and run back get cart #2 etc. Finally another passenger helped me. I remembered Hyacyinth's episode...British Airways have since changed their rules. This was in 2009.
"And he appears to have one piece of baggage too many." LOL I think this was in the top three Hyacinth burns in the whole series.
oh yes

Burns as in being a candle in the wind?
Oh yes, we have a television set, a washing machine, a liquidiser.... 🤣🤣
Let’s not overlook the white trim-line phone with redial .. ! 😂
Hyacinth: "Shut the gate!"
Emmet: "Thinking of something else, I'd like to shut."
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Especially before she sang at him!!!
Poor Emmett.
Please be very careful with my set of matching executive luggage with genuine leather embellishments and initials 😂😂😂😂
Absolutely love Patricia Rutledge's Hyacinth! So true to the title of the series for sure!
Hyacinth: "Have we got room for my..."
Richard: "NO!"
😂
These are the few moments he puts his foot down
This show is so wholesome. Wonderful comedy.
Come along Richard this is no time for chatting with the porter lol
Can I ask you some questions about your luggage?
Yes of course, isn't it smart 🤣🤣
"Set of matching executive luggage with genuine leather embellishments and initials"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The best part is that she gets out of breath saying the long line, but she *must* go on! XD
@@jlammetje She actually said that entire line 3 times in that episode. LOL
I would have a hard time saying all that line in one go lol
@@stratpluslover8391 I have trained myself to do it. Freaks my friends out every time. Lol.
"And he appears to have one baggage too many" 😂😂😂😂.
This show is so funny good for depression
I just love this show so much!
She’s so funny there never be another
Oh, Richard is such a good sport; love them all.❤️
"Richard! Have we room for my . ."
"No!!"
The Bucket woman just got owned at the airport 💀😭😭😭😭😭
"It's Bouquet"
Richard have we got room for my NO ha ha
I love her!!!😂🤣😂
She cried at the thought of not going on the QE2, as if her whole life depended on it
Well they had saved and saved for it, and really been looking forward to it.
🙈🤣🤣🤣She is one of a kind! Love her!!!
It could’ve been titled Keeping Up With Hyacinth
difficult unless you’re a dog, she can run very fast
I truly love watching KEEPING UP APPEARANCES WITH ALL EPISODES
I needed something normal after all this COVID-19 hysteria ....
That "NO" was the strongest ever...
That scene where they are driving back with plants is me and my husband every time we go to a plant store or Home Depot! 😛 Edit: a television set, washing machine..😂
I miss this awesome classic show on PBS
it's recycled every other year esp when pbs needs funds
without doubt it's a top drawer
Poor Richard - he cops for it every time ! 😢😂😂😂😂
😂 😂 😂 She's brilliant such class 😁🇬🇧
You just couldn't help feeling sorry for Richard.
He is the definition of (utopian) true love😝
No husband would put up with this kind of craziness🥴🤣😳😆🤯🤣
@@jeromepaxkiro552 I don't know if it was love more than duty🤣
You really have to wonder how they ended up together.
How do men like Richard live,,,,, without a life, identity, opinion, choices, friends,,,,, ?
@Rabbi Shekelberg 😂😂😂😂👍
he loves her.
@MMN By cutting their own balls off.....or rather letting their wife cut them off!
Hyacinth screwed like a mink.
@Griffith Williams that's sad.
The personification of English humour!
That is really old fashioned royal with so much Luggage
What an actor... 😄😄
Absolutely hilarious 😂
The Bucket lady is hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I loved how she always emphasized the pronunciation the "T" is supposed to be silent🤣😂
That bouquet
I am an American and I just now have discovered this sitcom. I can't praise it enough! I wonder how many British people really do know someone who acts like this Bucket woman? Ha! Ha! Ha!
I’ve watched this show with my Grandmom when I was a kid. Imagine if they call Karen’s Bucket Woman over there lol
It's pronounced Bouquet!!! 😂😂😂
Hyacinth’s face when he barks “No!”
OMG so glad I came across this
I would ban her from flying if I was the airport. XD.
Women like Hyacinth are living headaches! Poor Richaard stuck with a wife like that 😂😂😂😂
Richard was a very very very very very patient man🤦♀️😣
@@megganaki Yes Richard is patient indeed
Hyacinth could suck the chrome off a trailer hitch, Richard was happy.
@@sharksport01 Lol
I like to think he escaped to an island and finally got some peace and quiet
Just as well baggage allowance did not exist back in the day of Keeping Up Appearances 😂😂
0:04- it funny. I seen that show all time.😂😆😉
She is over the top, but I love it.
What makes you think I can see the Road?!
She so funny with her matching luggage so funny.
I literally just pronounced it BUCKET and could almost hear Hyacinth correcting me
0:57 This scene is cut out of the episode on BBC iPlayer, ridiculous, one of the best Hyacinth put-downs of the series 😂
It’s because the ‘dentist on holiday’ is played by Barry Bethell, convicted of sex offences in 2009.
Oh Gosh! The QE2! Hilarious!
The outdoors indoors, poor Richard trying to drive while shoving a fern out if the vision area.
"I just wish there wasn't quite so much Outdoors Indoors in *here*."
Her clothes were top shelf.
One of my fav eps is the plants one :)
Poor Richard 😂😂😂❤🙏👍
"Through what" loooooool
Would anyone know which episode is the one featuring where they are getting on that CityHopper aircraft? i dont think I have seen that one! Cheers
Sea Fever
@@DeusExMJ12 Thanks !!
Pricless!!😂😂😂😂
At least it's not dozens of blankets! Kids!
Imagine how many Richards are out here suffering like this Richard
Not too many
UNLESS
the wife is LOADED
He puts up with the "abuse" in return
he gets to indulge
his vanities😝🤣
Only the older generation . Most youngsters don't believe in marriage and divorce for any reason
british comedy best in the world
😁😁😁😁😊😊😅😅😅😅😆😆I thought she was going to open up very 🚪 door
I get the feeling Hyacinth might have developed an eye for Oliver Hardy had their paths ever crossed.
I would love to see more clips of Last of the Summer Wine. The same creators who did this show.
Roy Clarke, who also did "Open All Hours" and "Still Open All Hours".
1:25... Yep Lost Her Job 😂😂. Skipping The Question. No Way She Keeps Her Job.
I wish she would do more of them
The poor woman is now in her 90s; we all deserve a well earned rest in the winter of our life.
they tried to extend the series (due to popular demand) but PR had a different idea (typecast burnout?)
She played a sort of
"Miss Marple" character
after KUA but it fizzled out
so she retired.

The computers at customs still had MS-DOS. It shows how old the show is.
Oh no! Not the china 😂
This , The Bill , Doctor Who 1980’s, Cooking with Ainsley, probably my favourite Brit tv, love Gordon Ramsey.
"Traveling lightly, Richard?"
Very accurate about certain kinds of people ....
The airline wouldn't be Ryan would it ? 😂
"No!" 😁
I always wish that they do episode where Hyacint die and Richard and Elizabeth married and Hyacint go haunt them....
What a snob
alas, hyacinth doesn’t live in the horse and carriage era when it actually _was_ acceptable to bring this much stuff to a travel destination

They load they take for "A Riverside Picnic, With Riparian Entertainment."
The people on these luxury liners do not skimp on luggage Richard.
Lolllllll,i really love.
I always felt sorry for Richard putting up with Hyacinth
No need to feel sorry for him. He was on Valium.
Awesome
Its not that she cant, its that travelling lightly is rather....common
Hey BritBox!? Any Last of the Summer Wine?
The porter/dentist scene has been edited out of this episode on BBC iplayer. Does anybody know why?
I am the opposite I take like a carryon and then regret it
I actualyy felt sorry for Richard.
1:44 is that a vintage computer?
Hyacinth s antiaging moisturizer: Viper 11 av amazon

Ms. Routledge did meet the Queen one time.
There is a clip here on YT someplace.
It must've been an interesting conversation.
most women carry tons of luggage on vacation my mom does.
A lot of time the luggage is only half packed. It's for any souvenirs you might want to bring back.

It's very hard keeping indoor plants alive. She has a very nice showplace bring in plants would destroy the looks.
