I am glad you are enjoying the videos Paul. It is pretty cool for me to connect with people like you who appreciate the beauty of our wild and natural places.
Awesome video! You're getting so good at editing, sharing your great personality, and capturing the adventure. Thank you for sharing this experience . Keep this up and you'll have a million followers.
@@HermitsOutdoorAdventures Absolutely! Like the "other world" should not exist and the wilderness is a complete connection to who we are supposed to be, simple, vulnerable, strong/weak, and at times at natures' Wimsey. A connection that is painful to leave. I felt insulted when crossing the border route to see cabins at the end. If you want to make that trip let me know. I can share my logistics, or put a small crew together and go.
Thanks for watching Margaret. I love your insight. There is something different and special about a longer trip. I guess I think of a long trip as a gradual immersion “into” the natural world as opposed to point to point travel through it. The longer the trip the more I feel part of the place and less like a visitor observing it.
@@HermitsOutdoorAdventures Second viewing: Totally excellent use of lanyards on your fishing net and hook removing tool. Is there anything better than eating spiderwebs on your morning walk to recover your food barrel and Ursack food bag?
Polite fish? 😄 You killed it with the fishing and got some lunkers! Congrats! I'm sure the walleye was tasty. Loved the opening scene, it was mint! What a view.
These video journals are so lovely! My whole family gathered to watch all three last night. So different than all the other BWCA experience videos out there. Thank you for documenting the gift of your experience. Only two weeks away from permit day! I’ve been cooking and dehydrating my meals all winter here in Minneapolis in preparation for this summer. You inspire me immensely and for that I am grateful. Thank you!
Hi Scottie, thanks for the feedback. Sounds like you got a great start on your pre-trip planning. Hope you have a great canoe tripping season 2022. I plan to be finished with the final video of that series soon. Thanks again for watching.
Great to watch this latest installment after a day of catching up on work. Thinking ahead to next year and being out on the water again. TH-cam will fill the gap in the meantime!
Wonderful report K!! I really enjoy watching your outdoor habits. It is enjoyable to see how comfortable you are. It says alot about your experiwnce and skill. Wonderful. I gave up on store bought breakfast cookies and granola bars awhile ago and went back to making Hudson Bay Bread. It is super easy to make. Durable while you're out. Calorie dense and a decent balance of carbs and protein. As always each of your videos has shown more personality than the previous and make watching fun. You have got a great outlook and a enjoyable sense of humor. As always, thanks for sharing!
Also idk if you know about the 360 cameras make it easier to record at all angles so you don't have to worry about missing the shot but idk about their performance I just see how cool they are.
@@crystalpanda1812 I am sort of light in the camera department. Gopro and iPhone. Maybe some day I will think about expanding but then again it would be another thing to carry, charge and worry about. Hard decision to make.
Its all I want too! Thank you for making your videos , I enjoy them more than you know

Thanks for the encouragement Rob. 😊
Watched the first three episodes so far. Wonderful videos. Must admit I’m envious of the smallies you caught.
Ron I put them back. They are out there waiting for you 😉
Can't agree more with feeling like this is where I belong (BWCA like wilderness) and truly feel "home" when there. Great video!
Do you also get that feeling like the “everyday” world just drains away and leaves your body? Its a feeling that is hard to put into words.

Beautiful video. I'll be watching this one again. Thank you for sharing the expert advice along the journey too.
I don’t know about the expert part. Just sharing my thought process. 😉

I would love to try your Hudson Bay bread if you are willing to share a recipe. Also thank you for the encouragement.
@@HermitsOutdoorAdventures I absolutely will share the recipe. It is adapted from one used at a BSA canoe camp in northern WI decades ago.

?question? good video
but where’s the video chapters and MERCH?

The first walleye made it in the boat so it was a catch and release 😂
I love your thought process on that. 😂
Yeah 🐼
You are the best! Every time I post I wonder if you will be the first to comment. ❤️ 😊
I was lucky I just got home from a trip to the V.A. and boom got the notification. Also that fish said not today and got away.
