For a natural arrancar, Starrk did a good job fighting Kyurako for as long as he did after fighting Rose and Love. Starrk was able to play along with the shikai abilities of Kyurako's zanpakuto but everyone knows he will lose. It's just sad for a character like Starrk who created his own company to fill his loneliness dies alone

Whoever animated this episode downplayed the intensity of the fight tremendously. Starrk’s ceros look so ineffective and so does the slashes of shunsui.

People get hung up on how the animation here isnt as flashy as the Grimjow vs Ichigo or Icho vs Ulquora fight is but Shunsui sliving a ressurecion primera espada's cero with just his shikai is a crazy feat and shows just how much stronger he is than all the other captains. This fight may not be as "cool" but it the two strongest fighters for each side (besides aizen and gin and tosen) feeljng each other out and having the experience to just do what is necessary to win instead of waste a lot of wnergy. This is a chess match.

Stark fought Rose , Love , Ukitake a bit and Shunsui who is leagues above Kommamura imo. I’d give it to stark tbh. I’d say Stark and Ulq are the only Espada who could kill Tosen off the top of my head .

One of the most beautiful things about these really good animes is they always end up making you care about the "bad guys". Starks death ended up being a tragedy, not a victory.

Which we don't have much in way to compare them as Starrk Fought 4 Captain lvl shinigami while Ulquiorra only fought one.

Required multiple captains some with hollowfications to be put down and shunsui was at 1 point considering to pop his bankai for starrk, knowing full well off its destructive capabilities towards his allies and enemies.

Omg, this fight is more symbolic than I recall. I used to think they two kinda complement each other. But now I notice more things. Stark is like a version of Aizen. They both suffer from the boredon brought by having power beyond mesurement. Which brings loliness. The difference is that Stark was casted into the numbness of the feeling, while Aizen wanted everybody to feel How powerful he was so that he could feel a little less lonely. Still, Aizen showed respect towards Stark when he died. It must be because deep down, he knew they were the same in terms of disliking the loliness of being powerful.
Also, its soooo f**** awesome that the "villain" that IS "cursed" with boredon is fighting the "hero" that has abilities related to playful activities aaaaa 🤧🤧 I love you, Kubo ❤
Starrk embodies loneliness, loses because he fights a group and at the end an opponent with two zanpakto-souls.
He always wanted friends and died while "playing a children's game."
One Zanpaktou isn’t really his though

Honestly this fight was unfair, if it was just Shunsui VS Stark that would b fine but instead it was Stark vs 4 people. No I don’t count Lilly a separate person because she is part of Stark and becomes his weapon which she originally was.
I wish he survived cause he and Lilly were just lonely who wanted others around them which is why he created Lilly to begin with

I wouldn’t say it’s 4 against 1. Ukitake didn’t really fight other than just reflecting the cero twice and it’s not like shunsui couldn’t dodge them. The other two captains didn’t do much other than forcing Stark to release his wolf souls. If shunsui released his Bankai stark would have lost immediately.

Somehow i noticed that when stark hits shunsuei on the side of his hat that would mark when shunsei was battling with that Quincy with those pistols when that Quincy shot him directly in the eye .
I really wanted to see more of Jushiro fighting. If Kubo Sensei wanted to, we could've seen Jushiro's Bankai. I would be fine to see both Shunsui and Jushiro take down Starrk as a double team kill

In this episode you can see clearly how powerful shushui is, he managed to kill the number 1 by using only his shi kai, cunning ability and tactics. Wow, he really deserved to be the next head captain after Yamamoto.

Stark and Nel have always been my favorite Espada. Its a shame Bleach wasnt really known for good story telling.
How does it not have story? Stark was originally a whole Vasto Lorde that had powers so great that killed other Hollows that had to split apart and form Starrk and Lilinette. They could then not be without each other. Nel was a former Espada, but was backstabbed by her rival and was tragically exiled from Hueco Mundo while in child form...

See the problem with giving Starrk these abilities is that he should have just won with them. For example why is it that Kyoraku can dodge every single cero from base starrk to full release , yet isnt fast enough to land an actual blow? because unfortunately there is no other way to write it because giving Starrk the ability to fire a thousand Cero blasts at once really means he should just win, but that obviously isnt how the story should go. Also Kyroaku should have revealed his bankai instead of us having to wait for TWBY only for it to not work against the enemy anyway.
Imagine Shunsui an Stark as a team... i would pay to see these 2 fight on the same side.... :d
People complaining about the boring animation and swordplay at 1:51 are missing the point. Shunsui is intentionally attacking slowly and awkwardly because he wants to provoke Starrk into attacking.
