Murders still occur because after the murderers are caught they are being pampered. If after they are caught they are tortured and also handed over to the victims family to torment them future murderers will think twice. Putting them in prison, they argue their case in court and it takes forever to get a sentence or execute someone is all pampering, that emboldens criminals to commit more crime.

Wow. At newport beach. I knew it growing up. We flew kites in the vacant fields around it and the pacific life( mushroom building) and the police station .my grandparents built-in big canyon in 73. The reason I am commenting is that you would likely view me through a similar lens. You also commented, regarding the victim, and the ‘fact’ that she likely didn’t work for her money (supposedly earned via marriage), which to me seemed hypocritical, when you started talking about entitlement. My parents did not ever buy me a fancy car, they instead provided me with a safe place to live, a place where one could take pride in his surroundings. If something like this occurred in the community I grew up in, I too would express similar sentiments. You should not feel as though this is by any means normal or acceptable behaviour. This kind of action should and does seem alien to people brought up in so called ‘bubbles’, which I am pretty sure means just a decent neighbourhood or community. I am not entitled to live in such circumstances, they were provided to me by people who worked for it. If I want to raise my children in the same circumstances, I will need to work just as hard or harder than my parents before me. Again, we go back to the mindset of cynicism, nihilism and pessimism. If you are already subscribed to such ideas, then none of this can really make sense, however, there are righteous and altruistic men and women out in the world who have the will and capacity put real value into the communities they inhabit. How would a stand your ground law prevent a woman being run over by a car? Unless you are able to pull your pistol out in less than 1 second and score a headshot on a moving target in a car plowing at you at 60mph (so you've got about 2 seconds total).
And even if you land that headshot? The car keeps moving and still runs you over.
