- SpaceX's stalwart Falcon 9 rocket, which powers satellite launches as well as trips to orbit for NASA astronauts, experienced a rare failure as it attempted to haul a batch of internet satellites to orbit. abc7.com/15053759
So successfully unsuccessfully deployed nice wording there Elan
What they are saying is that the satellites were successfully detached from the (broken) second stage, but in a lower than intended orbit (138 by 295km eccentric). So both phrases are technically correct.
Nobody checked the rocket before the launch?
my bad, I forgot

I watched them re enter the atmosphere tonight. All burned up no worries
Next time 🚀
Elan space trash is a success 😅
Falcon 9 has had 354 launches without failures in a row, which is more than thrice of second place and third place is the soyuz which regularly carries astronatus to iss
Muskrat stay losing.
“Stay losing” haha
This was the first falcon 9 failure since 2015. 344 consecutively successful launches and Starlink deployments…

So are they going to come down?🤷🏼♀️that is not finishing the story🤦🏼♀️this is why I never watch the news. Half a story here half story there gaslighting here and there.
No one knows when they are going to de-orbit, they maxed out the ion thrusters to try to raise the perigee. It may or may not work. If you follow up on space-specific news sites, there is a lot more information.
Just keep looking up occasionally. The rest of the story might include you! I am going to be wearing my bike helmet everywhere I go!
@@Leadership_matters Latest update is that they are going to all de-orbit soon, losing 5km per perigee.
And remember, it's only gaslighting if it's about a topic you don't like!
@@ryddragyn right!!! Helmet and goggles! I'm pretty sure that space junk is going to stay right in my space-time 4 - manifold unless it randomly quantum tunnels right through the planet! Not placing bets on quantum mechanics!
Could these launches be the reason for the extreme weather?
I love how the mouth breathers in the comments so glibly criticize something they have NO comprehension of, people for whom the most task-critical forethought they've ever experienced probably consists of, "Huh, did I pick up the car keys before I walked to the garage?"...Please remember, "Better to be silent and be thought a fool, than speak, and remove all doubt"... I actually have to give credit to ABC, usually a mouthpiece of the MSM machine, for speaking moderately of this event as Bill mentions that this is the first failure since 2015, which is over 300 successful launches with zero failures...
YT comments bring out the smallest IQs. People in rural Missouri who barely have a concept of education flood articles like this with their foolishness bc they are bored out there

But the firmament allowed the 344 previous flacon 9 rockets through? 🤨
"Successfully deployed"
"Too low to reach orbit"
Pick one.
The satellites were deployed (ie released, detached, disconnected etc) from the second stage, but they were too low to reach their INTENDED orbit. The orbit they ended up in was elliptical, rather than circular. So both phrases are technically correct. Hope that helps.
@@ryddragyn That ain't gonna help a dumbazz. Dude needs more help than is even possible to give someone.
The satellites have on board thrusters. It is unknown if they have enough fuel to reach intended orbit
@@sloanb27 It is known that they have enough fuel. The unknown is whether or not the thrusters can be made powerful enough to create the thrust needed to save them. SpaceX engineers are rewriting the thruster control software to allow for "Warp 9" level thrust increase, which will push the thrusters beyond their design limitations.
@@-108- The latest update is that the satellites are losing 5km of altitude per perigee, and they will de-orbit soon.

No need of pretending when even Russia says they did.
