Thank you so kind for the pure land dharma talk . I am American and when I was 11 years old I see on tv a monk from china and his philosophy of being really touched me in a deep and profound way. It changed my life . Years later I found a pure land dhamma book and after a few pages I had tears running down my face. I wish to thank the Chinese Buddhist community for sharing their teachings of pure land dhamma to the west . I am now 63 yrs old and study the pure land dhamma and Buddhist religion and philosophy. Thank you.

It is interesting that everything in the spiritual world is mirrored in the mundane world. You sweep the floor and sweep your mind. I am practicing nianfo a great deal now, but I constantly am accumulating "dust" in my mind. I can hardly keep up with sweeping it away as it settles in among my thoughts. I am grateful for your teachings and your example. Amituofo.

Wow, that is beautiful! You can stay in the temple for free; of course, you have to help clean and maintain the temple, but what a privilege!
There are plenty of temples and monasteries world wide you can apply to stay in. You need to work and follow all the same rules as the folk staying there permanently though (be they lay or monastic).

I have a question. If someone rebirths in Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, will he become an Arhat or Buddha?
Hello definitely Buddha, forever goes to the Pure Land will all be Bodhisattvas then realising Buddhahood really soon. No arhat as in those only care for self-liberation. For those who seek rebirth to the Pure Land they will all generate the unsurpassed Bodhicitta and realise Buddhahood then travel to all the worlds in the ten directions to help all beings. Amituofo
