What an evil thing to say, praying people to reincarnate and hope they go to pure land. I saw that in a movie that a Lama killed people and said I did him good so he can reach the pure land. I also think it evil when a Buddha religious family steal the mother's toddler and said it good because we helped you get rid of your karma. Buddhism are evil, thinking children are Karma. We are super super lucky to encounter an excellent Teacher Master Chin Kung and a perfect Buddhist role model Liu Su Yin Loashi. It's truly rare that one can learn from two good Teachers at the same time. At the Vultures Peak , Shakyamuni Buddha and Amituofo together were expounding the Infinite Life Sutra. It's a rare moment that two Buddhas were speaking at the same lecture. This rare moment will only happened once and it has never happen before neither will it happen in the future. This is a inconceivable encounter for us.
Let's not forget the innumerable benefits of Nianfo described in the Three Pure Land Sutras! Is this Buddha magic? No, its buddha Vow, wisdom, will; and the power of our mind when transformating through the lens of rhe Mahayana Sutras.
I remember a Shaolin monk telling me many years back that chanting the name of buddha looks n sounds very easy on the surface but to be able to chant until you reach a meditative state is no mean feat
There many approaches in learning Buddhism. The first is practice, here one starts with cultivating a pure mind. The other is understanding, here one studies the teachings. Which approach is more advantageous? Practice! As long as one has a pure mind, it doesn’t matter that one has no knowledge of Buddhism. If one eradicates afflictions, then the mind is pure, and the Buddha Land will also be pure. One will be able to attain birth into Western Pure Land. Frankly, the only method of practice that allows one to succeed in one lifetime is the chanting Amitabha Buddha. If we introduce it to others, we are opening the door of utmost virtuousness. Nothing is more virtuous than this. In practicing the Pure Land Method, one follows the principle of no doubt, no intermingle and no interruption. One diligently learn and practice using of the method of the perfect control of the Six Senses with continuous thoughts, taught by Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva. Other methods require you to a achieve the realm of “No Thought “ then only you become a Buddha. This is impossible during the Dharma Ending Age. Once born into Western Pure Land naturally one attains Buddhahood. Pure Land method don’t need any special guidance or special conditions, except one sincerely chant Amitabha Buddha and the criteria to attain birth there is belief, vow and practice. Regardless of which method one learns and practice, one must be able to suppress one’s afflictions and vow to seek birth in Western Pure Land. This is the true requirement.
Yes you are so right! I am practisioner of mahamudra and i have see the nature of mind... But! I practice powa too constantly to have a sure rebirth to Sukavati! Emaho! Namo Amitabaye!
Greetings from California! I never would have thought that, as a 47 year old white American, that our paths could be so similar. I have always been a seeker; a disciple of Yoganada's for the last 25 years and a practitioner of the Kriya Yoga. I have also studied mystical Islam and learned the Dhikr of the Nasiriya Sufi Order. I also teach yoga! I have a question for you: The Buddha has said that it is very difficult to get rebirth into a human life after this one - but there are many stories of Rinpoches, Tulku and rebirths in many areas. How is this reconciled? Do not doubt your intellect. I also practiced law. Law exams are NOT easy! I believe the Buddhadharma and elements of the Sanatana Dharma in the way of my masters. It is important for people who meditate to not stress about understanding the detailed intricacies of the Dharma expressed in the Sutras. When you are deep in meditation, the Dharma will guide you directly. I will also seek rebirth in the Western pure lands for the same reasons you describe here. Namo Amituofo!
If you have question, follow Darryl Anka: Channeling Bashar. This path reminds me a little to the Gaudiya Vaishnava. Krishna devotees aspire to be enlightened souls who end up living in Krishna's paradise (Goloka Vrindavan) forever. Although Pure Land is more oriented towards becoming a buddha, rather than enjoying a paradise forever.
Yes and according to the Buddha heavens are not Paradise forever, merely another realm in the six realms of reincarnation, thus one should not aspire for rebirth in the heavens. Amituofo 🙏
@@PureLandBuddhism I think the result is probably the same; to become a free soul and end up living forever in an eternal blissful realm; because Goloka Vrindavan is not supposed to be a normal heaven, but the original abode of souls; to where people return to where they shouldn't have gone away in the first place. But at least to me, Amitabha's pure land strikes me more as a place of quiet buddhist practice than a place where you go to have fun forever. Some people is even saying Amitabha and Krishna are really the same being, but I'm still not convinced about that. In fact the path of Krishna is more devotional; Amitabha doesn't really care if you love him.
May I share my realization? Shyakamuni Buddha spoke the dharma to human based entirely on our human makeup. due to this makeup of suspicion and worldly imprinted ideas of existence, he spoke in a string of teachings and all paths didn't end in each of those paths but leads to Pureland path which is the original intent of his teaching based on our makeup. If we are able to connect the dharma teachings, they are episodes of buddha's life and his teaching from episode one teaching different path to further episodes of other paths but they all end in pureland teaching which is the original intent of Buddha's coming then. May all sentient beings come to this realization.
Yes exactly that's indeed the Buddha's intent but Buddha has to adopt skilful means to deliver the message as people have different capacities, acceptability and ways of understanding 🙂👍✨🙏Amituofo
@@PureLandBuddhism yes, the episodes were meant for the various types of people makeup. No one episode is independent, it’s best to grasp the links between them to realise the original intent.
Before Master Chin Kung appears, people visit temples because there were no Buddhist Centre. In the temple we burn joss sticks and offer oil and flowers. Occasionally we would bring our family clothes for the monks to give some blessings. Most of us will observe vegetarian meals on the 1st and 15th days of lunar calendar. Pureland Buddhism was unheard of. We hardly see image of Amituofo in people's home accept in funeral ritual praying for the death. This was how low Buddhism had gone down. After Master Chin Kung appears and started to share the correct understanding of Buddha's Teachings, then more people begin to have better understanding about Buddhism and about Amituofo. Today, there are more vegetarian outlets in every parts of Malaysia and Singapore. Today we see more Buddhist Centres and less people are burning papers in the Seventh Month Ghost festival or during Ching Ming. Today we see more home with image of Amituofo and even in the work place. Today we hear more people greeting each others Amituofo in the public. Without Master Chin Kung, these changes would not had happened. Without Master Chin Kung, we won't know anything about Pureland Buddhism and the meaning of Amituofo. Without Master Chin Kung we would not know of cultivation for pure mind and seek rebirth into Western Pureland. We are the most lucky people to encounter Master Chin Kung and learn the most supreme method in Buddhism, the Infinite Life Sutra. Learning Pureland Buddhism chanting Amituofo method is human's greatest fortune.
I believe in the conversation of energy. There are more humans than there has ever been, which means most of humans seen today came from another living entity. Karma teaches good and bad, however good and bad are subjective, and in the case of the dharma, it's geared towards the human experience. If we are reborn from another entity, it may be of lower intelligence. What makes the action "good" in that particular entity, and how can they be self aware of it. If they are not aware of their good actions, then it is a coincidence that they are reborn as human. Therefore, we are lucky to be here.
Pureland Method can be practiced by anyone, anywhere, at anytime...belief, vow and practice..deep faith, vow and chant Amituofo. It can be practiced easily without becoming a monk/nun and it guarantee everyone birth into Pureland through Amituofo's great vows. Other methods require you to achieve the realm of " No Thought" then only can you become a Buddha. This is impossible during the period of Dharma Ending Age. Once born in Western Pureland, naturally one attain Buddhahood. Pureland Method don't need special guidance or special conditions, except one sincerely chant Amituofo. But the criteria to attain birth into Western Pureland is beliefs, vow and nianfo. The standard for mature conditions in the Pureland school is different from other schools. In the other schools the practitioners need to completely eradicate all afflictions and attain great awakening. Chant Amituofo name is to bring the mind under control. Recitation can be done in silent or loud with or without the image of Amituofo.
In Hinduism there are major 7 purelands of which material universe is the first pure land to conquer and dwell in peacefully. Beyond that there are six further pure lands to conquer. The seventh or the final one is called Satya Lok or pure land of pure truth.
Im Theravada Buddhist and the Buddha teaches we can get into Pure Lands way back in the Pali Cannon in MN120. He says one gets to pure lands in Pali cannon, thriugh virtue, faith etc..the Theravada tradition says only once can be in pure land, but Buddha never says this himself! And in Pali cannon in MN120 it's clear you can go to pure Abodes (pure lands called Akathisa in Pali cannon) from faith alone. And I found pureland Buddhism in Mahayana and I wasn't surprised at all, the Pali cannon talks about pure lands a lot, and Mahayana Sutra the Buddha just explains them in more detail.
Hello I don't know so much about Nicheren Buddhism but it seems they follow the Lotus Sutra which is similar to the Tiantai school (probably derived from the Tiantai school) in China founded by Master Zhiyi (Master Zhizhe), and yes you can definitely combine Nianfo with whatever methods you are practising and if you transfer the merit towards seeking rebirth to the Pure Land then you can still seek rebirth to the Pure Land. The Tiantai school founder Master Zhiyi also sought rebirth to the Pure Land in his life 🙂🙏Namo Amituofo 🙏
What I don't understand about the end goal of Buddhism is why we would want to give up the senses. It seems that to give up desires, to give up all need and want is to give up the senses. Without the senses are we even alive? It seems like being a Buddha would just be giving up our sentience. I just need to understand it better. If I have no ego, if I have no wants and dreams, then what is left? If I am not ME then what am I?
That's a good question! If you are not your ego, not your senses, not your wants and dreams and not YOU, then who are you? This question is actually also an answer to itself (believe it or not :))! Who Are You? Is it really a separate individual self? Think about it 😇 🙏 ✨ Amituofo
Jian Wen, you repeat that you aren't intelligent enough for other paths, but I think that you are intelligent enough for evey path. How much time does practicing Pure Land Buddhism take? Is it compatible with practicing meditation and studying Buddhism while you are a lay person and work and have a normal life? About Mahayana Buddhism, do they practice only one kind of meditation? Is it samatha or vipassana?
@@PureLandBuddhism I was not saying you guys are the same, just that there seems to be this common practice of a mini chant/mantra. In Buddhism is not all really an illusion?
@@questioneverything55 Yes mantra practice is common in many religions and practises (also in Islam and Hinduism etc.). All conditioned phenomena are illusions but because the Pure Land is created from the enlightened mind of Amitabha Buddha (the unconditioned), hence the true nature of the Pure Land is not an illusion as it resonates with our Buddha nature and is everlasting (for things that are illusions they are not everlasting like our world, but the Pure Land is different). Amituofo 🙂🙏
Actually they're not all teachings of the Buddha. I believe the only text that directly came from the Buddha was the Pali Canon all other texts were added by various monks afterwards

@@PureLandBuddhism do the people around also see it? How do they know this teaching is really from the Buddha & not just a monks belief hundreds of years after the Gautama Buddha’s death? To me, this would be the most important teaching of Gautama Buddha & I would be skeptical if he didn’t openly teach this to everyone wherever he went.
@@lo3572 Hello yes everyone around saw it. It's definitely Buddha's teaching as it's written clearly in the sutras spoken by the Buddha. Also it's been practised for over 1600 years in China and it has been verified by countless rebirth cases that happened in China so there shouldn't be any doubt about it. Amituofo 🙏🙏🙏
Hi L O, you just need to consider Buddhas and Bodhisattvas as "cosmic" beings who embody a particular trait of Buddhist values such as wisdom, compassion, etc. Regarding Amitabha Buddha, he embodies supreme compassion since his eighteenth vow as a Bodhisattva was that any being in any universe will be welcomed and reborn in his Pure Land, whatever deeds they may have done in their previous lifes (even the most evil ones). The only condition is to call upon his name with sincerity, even as few as ten times. Well, you can consider that this may be a fabricated story, or a legend, or a parable, but for some people, believing that such kind and compassionnate figures may exist somewhere in the universe(s), helps them to be a better human, to be released from suffering and to realise their true nature. Whether they think rationally that Amitabha really exists or not, it is not the question: they can all feel his "cosmic" presence by their side, once they chant his name, or visualize his presence. The Kālāma Sutta (Pali Canon) states that one should not determine the validity of tradition based "by logical conjecture, by inference, by analogies, by agreement through pondering views, by probability, or by the thought." While nothing in the text limits one from employing their own reasoning, the Buddha instructs not to make a decision based alone on it. Instead, the Buddha teaches that one can determine the validity of a tradition if "These qualities are skillful; these qualities are blameless; these qualities are praised by the wise; these qualities, when adopted & carried out, lead to welfare & to happiness' - then you should enter & remain in them." (from wikipedia) Therefore, you can consider that the practice, in Pure Land Buddhist tradition, of devotion to Amitabha and belief in his eighteenth vow, is a kind of skillful mean to attain enlightenment, among numerous means and practices of numerous schools and traditions of Buddhism.
@@toadleap8296 I would say that believing in & dedicating your life to a lie cannot make you a happier person. It can only give you the appearance of happiness in this life, but the true consequences of it will only be known in the next life. If the point of Buddhism is to escape samsara, this tradition is true if it liberates you from samsara, but if it isn’t true, how can it lead to anything but even worse karma?
So, there's Chanting the Name of the Buddha. To me it does not make a difference. I discovered Buddhism by myself on the University bench when I was 22. I developed my own mindfulness technique, and it saved my Life.

English Pure Land teachings are rare, so thank you so much for taking the time to make videos for us English speaking Buddhists! :D
Very good video. May all of us be reborn in Pureland and seek enlightenment. Namo Amituofo 南无阿弥陀佛🙏🙏🙏
He!! no, you can reincarnate all you want but leave me out of this as a Sovereign Being this is my last life sentence on this He!! Earth and I would not agree upon reincarnation what-so-ever as those Archons with their Wheel of Reincarnation Soul Trap Matrix I will not agree not even to those fake deities and angels.
Thank you for making this video. Please remember that some of us are hard of hearing. I had to read the captions to understand what you were saying because of the high volume of the music. I offer this, not as criticism, but to help you to remember that hearing is very difficult for many people. Namo Amitabha Buddha. Thank you for removing the music track. I love your lectures. Amituofo.
I would like to sincerely thank you. In September 2023, one of your video clips appeared on my TH-cam search. I somehow listened to it. I got inspired and after that I searched about Pure-land Buddhism, and ''the Lotus Sutra'' appeared on my TH-cam search. I have never known about it before. Since then I have been listening to the Lotus Sutra every day without missing a day. Thank you so much again. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
In Pure Land practice, pure thoughts are achieved through single minded Buddha Recitation = The Power of Now = Awakening - as advocated by the most renowned spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle.

I think you are highly intelligent. You have such humility, thank you so much ,you are inspiring.
Por favor si es posible los videos en español muchas gracias 🙏
Thank you for sharing 🙏
Namo Amituofo 🙏
Namo amitofu! There is nothing more beautiful! Amitabha's light is amazing. Your video is so beautiful and I'm so thankful you made it. Thank you!
Let's not forget the innumerable benefits of Nianfo described in the Three Pure Land Sutras! Is this Buddha magic? No, its buddha Vow, wisdom, will; and the power of our mind when transformating through the lens of rhe Mahayana Sutras.
Namo Amitabha Buddha !
I loved this video! And I think you're very intelligent
May all living beings obtain illumination

He would tell you that everything happening in the Now as all exist in the Now meaning your past, present future and all your other lifetimes is happening Now. As in Heaven and After Life there are no time. So yeah, it might be true so enjoy the Now as what you do Now affect everything of all your lifes coexisting all at once in the Now.
Amidaphat 🙏Hello Sister of PureLand Buddha.Very happy to watch your video and a pleasure of meeting you. I’m listening to Chin Kung Master too. I hope 🤞 to see you in Pure-land. I’m living in Melbourne Australia. Where do you live sister. Your English is awesome.👍😃Amituofo, A Di Đà Phật, A Mi Đà Phật, Amitabha 🙏
Thank you so much !!!!!
How sad, losing a culture from a Master. It like people might as well go back worshipping Mao Zedong.
Nice xie2
Same here old of age and death is always on my mind. And sometime I think to myself is it normal think death alot and randomly pop out.
What makes the action "good" in that particular entity, and how
can they be self aware of it. If they are not aware of their good actions, then it is a coincidence that they are reborn as human. Therefore, we are lucky to be here.
Faith Vow Practice! Nam Mo A Di Da Phat!
"I can resist everything exept temptatation."

I got sad every time you said you weren't that intelligent.
What do you think of japans Nichiren Buddhism ☸️
I guess my other question could I do both pure land and Nichiren. I know they don’t have good history but that doesn’t matter to me
Hello I don't know so much about Nicheren Buddhism but it seems they follow the Lotus Sutra which is similar to the Tiantai school (probably derived from the Tiantai school) in China founded by Master Zhiyi (Master Zhizhe), and yes you can definitely combine Nianfo with whatever methods you are practising and if you transfer the merit towards seeking rebirth to the Pure Land then you can still seek rebirth to the Pure Land.
Amituofo. You can watch this video: th-cam.com/video/TA_UDrTXEdI/w-d-xo.html
You can not be a fun, but you are in samadhi but you are following the good Damma.
Sounds similar to the Orthodox Church "Jesus Prayer" mantra practice.
Yes except we seek rebirth to the Pure Land which is not another heaven (in Buddhism heaven is still one realm of reincarnation) 🙂🙏Amituofo
Amituofo 🙂🙏
I have a video on this topic: Why the Pure Land is not an illusion. Amituofo 🙏
@@PureLandBuddhism Thank you for your explanation.🙏🙏

Actually they're not all teachings of the Buddha. I believe the only text that directly came from the Buddha was the Pali Canon all other texts were added by various monks afterwards

Dharma Sister , may I ask u whether it is alright for a buddhist who dabbles in stock , crypto n forex to practise pureland buddhism ? I understand that a person whose heart is in forex n stock market will find it very hard to find peace during mantra chanting
I had much fear of falling into hell. Since I took up nianfo practice, I'm less obsessed with terror. Taking refuge in the Triple Gem was also helpful 👌
Hell doesn't exist and it only exist when you think it exist. There ton of people on Earth keeping this Hell Consciousness exist daily into this Dimension Matrix.
I love you 💖
What are your thoughts on Falun Dafa?
May I know where you are from
How do you know the people were actually reborn in the pure land & not just hallucinating?
People they can clearly see Amitabha Buddha at the time of near death when they recite Amitabha Buddha and it's the same as what the Buddha told us in the sutra 🙏Amituofo
Instead, the Buddha teaches that one can determine the validity of a tradition if "These qualities are skillful; these qualities are blameless; these qualities are praised by the wise; these qualities, when adopted & carried out, lead to welfare & to happiness' - then you should enter & remain in them." (from wikipedia)
Therefore, you can consider that the practice, in Pure Land Buddhist tradition, of devotion to Amitabha and belief in his eighteenth vow, is a kind of skillful mean to attain enlightenment, among numerous means and practices of numerous schools and traditions of Buddhism.
@@toadleap8296 I would say that believing in & dedicating your life to a lie cannot make you a happier person. It can only give you the appearance of happiness in this life, but the true consequences of it will only be known in the next life. If the point of Buddhism is to escape samsara, this tradition is true if it liberates you from samsara, but if it isn’t true, how can it lead to anything but even worse karma?
if I am western and have more Affinity for Jesus, is it big disadvantage to be reborn into Jesus' Heaven Land?
So, there's Chanting the Name of the Buddha. To me it does not make a difference. I discovered Buddhism by myself on the University bench when I was 22. I developed my own mindfulness technique, and it saved my Life.
It is good to see so many Chinese fleeing the atheism of their government, and returning to the traditions of the past, which are WAY more valuable and "modern" than the horrid atheistic ideology of the modern era.
Dont bash atheism, Buddhism is kind of atheist in the sense that we deny the existence of God and that we dont worship gods
@@floptaxie68 I have been a Buddhist my whole life. We most certainly do NOT deny the existence of gods. We simply do not regard them as a source of ultimate reality. And atheist may, most certainly, practice Buddhism. But Buddhism is by no means atheistic. Read your suttas. Namo Buddhaya.
@@wordscapes5690 that’s why I said “God” instead of “gods” because what we don’t believe in is in an allmighty creator. Even Brahma bowed to Buddha because Buddha was superior to him.
