Mike Mika, for all these TH-cam video people who race along with their explanations thinking that we all have bionic ears, there is a solution to that curse! Simply hit the little cog wheel thinghie at the bottom of the video at the right hand side, then click on "speed". You can change the speed settings here to slow down that train. I find that 0.75 works with this talker.

They aren't hidden features. They are features people may not know about. It's supposed to be a helpful vid, which it is. I didn't know how to do half of those things and a couple I just accidently stumbled upon. If you haven't realized most people don't read the very well documented booklet they just jump right into it. And if you in fact have read that documented booklet I'm not sure why you watched the video anyway because you must know everything about the phone already.

Nicole, I really like this video. Some say it is too fast, well then use the pause button and think it through. I think the speed is just perfect. I have had cellularphones for over 20 years now and it was a big deal to have a cellphone back then, mostly doctors and fat rich guys. I started with a Motorola "Bag phone" and presently use 5 Nokia flip phones for my office. An electrical engineer friend is soon giving me his unlocked/international Samsung Galaxy S4 as he is getting an update (he offered me his wife's old Blackberry, but I wisely refused and decided to wait for the S4). Having never used a smart phone before, I am "practicing" by watching videos like yours. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the reason I am "updating". I actually am not updating my cool Nokia Flip-Phones. :) However, traveling Internationally (particularly in a country like Thailand where English is unknown to the masses) a smart phone will even tell you what bus to get on or whether the taxi is really taking you in the most direct way (I've never had a problem with bad taxis in Bangkok). And language and getting the news is wonderful. Most of the time I don't want to hear from "Home" when I'm traveling because my best friend/wife always is with me so emails and FB are not needed (and you showed how to turn them off) but available. Family and Friends have demonstrated buying a sim chip from a Thai 7-11 and then I'm on my way to international service. Thank you again, Nicole, for you help on this great phone. :)

Lost my S2 went to the Sprint store and bought an iPhone5, was back at the Sprint store within hours to exchange it for the S4. Never using anything other that a Galaxy again. Sick phone and AWESOME video. Thanks
Depends if you're a power user, WP is not there with the apps, if you're looking mostly to share photos & do basic social networking (G+ it's only in browser), the 1020 will be great, good biz integration & email, but expect anything else. The S4 is a top of the line Android phone, it's amazing, but this decision isn't about hardware, it's about what you're looking to get our the ecosystem...Now if the 1020 was running Android this would be a different discussion all together!
19 March 2014: This is my first Korean made phone and I paid full price because I hate being locked under a contract. The Samsung Galaxy S~4 is well worth the money. Even when saw the S~3, I was impressed. I don't know your name or what part of the world you living, but thanks a lot for showing and teaching S~4 owners things that cell store sales persons will Not take time to show. Sales people just want to make a sale and get on. You go girl.

I only ever considered bloatware a problem when it ate into my limited storage and I didn't have enough room for the apps I needed. In Honeycomb this was all the time!! Now, Android is now sophisticated enough that launchers can (for 98% of people) replace ROMs and I can disable the apps I don't need.

I just pulled mine out irs new practically buy idk why it wont read my sim and I wven took it in to cricket and they told mw that my s4 is not going to work because its not on their Antena service , that the phone is old and no good
u can change showing personal message and clock on home screen when you are at the home screen by tapping/dragging downwards on the clock or personal message and you have the same options there
On your tip using multi-window (map + messaging) you show some options available in the message portion of the window. I have tried this several times and I just do not have those options (the one you show is a pop-up keyboard). Is there some option I have to enable to see these options? Help appreciated...
You touched on the zoom feature of the Samsung video app, but I feel like it would have been noteworthy to mention the picture in picture feature as well.
samsung s4 has many other features too. which other phones may not have these features like smart pause during video, air move, can work from distance(you can move to next pic without touching your phone just wave above the phone, also can see popup messeges just holding your finger above the messeges) it can control alote of A/c tv through remote (just install "sure" remote form appstore) other phones may not support alot of A/c or tv, receivers, home accessories. samsung s4 has alot of sensor can manage your health can count your walking steps sleeping time and many more......
No, it should be standard with the stock Samsung keyboard, maybe check the keyboard setting to make sure you've got that enabled and not the stock android keyboard.
