I think it might be because this song is in the format used by old SNES games that had a lot of depth and emotion. It makes people yearn for the good old days when music was like this in games all the time.
It reminds me of Autumn. There's something about it with that same wispy almost magical feeling that Fall brings. Moreover, it reminds me of all sorts of memories from Autumn of 2015, perhaps my favorite year of my life for reasons that are too long to list. This song fills me with nostalgia, and I can't help but tear up a little whenever I hear it, usually when I want to remember the 'good old days'. I with I could play game this for the first time again, but at the same time I don't want to injure my tear ducts again.

I remember playing Undertale for the first time in 2016 while I was a uni student, and I used to listen to this and other 15-min versions of the soundtrack while writing my dissertation. I used to love it so much just working away to great music: so much so I even credited the soundtrack in the acknowledgements section of my dissertation when it was done! Whenever I'm thinking about dramatic lore stuff for basically any video game this music starts playing behind it in my head. Really makes it feel like I'm narrating a video essay to myself.
It impresses me even more that one guy made almost all of the art, did all of the programming, all of the writing and all of the music entirely by himself. And it only took him 2 and a half years. That is serious talent right there.
I finished Undertale 2 days ago for the first time in my life (i wished i had played it earlier) but damn, the amount of work , creativity, emotion , time that has been spent making this gem of a game is just unbelievable! The first time I heard this song I thought it was from Zelda Ocarina of Time or Majoras Mask but I was surprised to realize that it was a song from Undertale and I realized that Toby Fox was able to recreate the essence of the music from the games from zelda

I just bought Undertale recently, and it is a very good game. The music is just amazing. It can bring you a feeling of joy, sadness, calm, insanity or anxiety. I haven't finished the game yet, but it's very entertaining. My only regret of playing this game is not having played it sooner when it came out.
I somehow get a little depressed when I hear this song for some reason. Probably because of that I made the mistake of resetting the game when I first tried the true pacifist ending and I didn't hang out with Undyne and Papyrus so I got the neutral ending, by the time I realised that I had to hang out with them I had already reset the game and started a genocide run but restarted AGAIN and played the WHOLE game again and got the true ending finally. Then after that I tried a genocide run but I didn't kill all the monsters in Hotland and talked to Sans and then saved after that for some reason. I started a genocide run again but reset after I realised that I was supposed to kill enough monsters in the ruins until it says "but nobody came" and I realised that after I got to the forest and reset. Now I'm stuck with Sans. Sorry for the long comment, have a sunflower 🌻
Currently listening to nostalgic soundtrack form video games that were trending during the mid 2010's before turning 18. I've grown up playing Undertale and Minecraft along with several iconic video games during my childhood. Man, Toby Fox and C418 made some of the best video game soundtracks in the history of video games. The way add more life and feel as if you're living in the game itself just by their respective music represents their passion and creativity to make them. I hate and love that I’m nostalgic for this song. It was my first semester of community college and I was walking down the halls listening to this song. Now I’m almost finished with my bachelors at a university. Time sure does fly sometimes.
And now I’m graduated, working full time and life’s full of adult responsibilities. Still can’t believe that it’s been almost 6 years since I was walking down my community college halls and listening to this.
This gives me a strange feeling, like I am a child young, no worry, no stress, no time to think about the end.

The game starts off seeming like another 8-bit RPG videogame-y game, but then it grows on you.
And it REALLY grows on you.
I feel so nostalgic whenever I hear this theme. It reminds me of when I had first gotten the demo and I was so intrigued by everything and amazed by the music and the gameplay. I never get the same feeling when listening to any of the other songs.
Man, this takes me back. I remember playing Undertale for the first time in 2016 while I was a uni student, and I used to listen to this and other 15-min versions of the soundtrack while writing my dissertation. I used to love it so much just working away to great music: so much so I even credited the soundtrack in the acknowledgements section of my dissertation when it was done! Just a brilliant game and a brilliant collection of music to boot

Whenever I'm thinking about dramatic lore stuff for basically any video game this music starts playing behind it in my head. Really makes it feel like I'm narrating a video essay to myself.

I finished Undertale 2 days ago for the first time in my life (i wished i had played it earlier) but damn, the amount of work , creativity, emotion , time that has been spent making this gem of a game is just unbelievable! When i was like mid game i knew that when i would finish the game i would wanna go back in time and experience it again, and yes i was right, i do wanna experience this all over again :(

The first time I heard this song I thought it was from Zelda Ocarina of Time or Majoras Mask but I was surprised to realize that it was a song from Undertale and I realized that Toby Fox was able to recreate the essence of the music from the games from zelda

I just bought Undertale recently, and it is a very good game. The music is just amazing. It can bring you a feeling of joy, sadness, calm, insanity or anxiety. I haven't finished the game yet, but it's very entertaining. My only regret of playing this game is not having played it sooner when it came out.

I somehow get a little depressed when I hear this song for some reason. Probably because of that I made the mistake of resetting the game when I first tried the true pacifist ending and I didn't hang out with Undyne and Papyrus so I got the neutral ending, by the time I realised that I had to hang out with them I had already reset the game and started a genocide run but restarted AGAIN and played the WHOLE game again and got the true ending finally. Then after that I tried a genocide run but I didn't kill all the monsters in Hotland and talked to Sans and then saved after that for some reason. I started a genocide run again but reset after I realised that I was supposed to kill enough monsters in the ruins until it says "but nobody came" and I realised that after I got to the forest and reset. Now I'm stuck with Sans. Sorry for the long comment, have a sunflower 🌻

Man, Toby Fox and C418 made some of the best video game soundtracks in the history of video games. The way add more life and feel as if you're living in the game itself just by their respective music represents their passion and creativity to make them. Thank you Undertale and Minecraft for making my childhood gamer life memorable :>
