I have a lot of fake Blythes and I got them all on AliExpress (quite a few of them are also from the Show too). I also have a few genuine Blythes and if I'm honest the quality of the fake girls is in many ways better, particularly when it comes to the hair and the body articulation. Also as you mentioned there's so much more variety in hair and skin colours in the fakey girls. Obviously owning a genuine Blythe feels very special, because of the clothes and accessories and the way they're presented in the box, but then they are expensive and the last one I bought the hair was just horrible - not that it's stopped me wanting more of course.
I am really pleased with these 2 but as you say I think its the idea of having an original that feels special. I always thought i wouldn't want Blythes but I think I am converted 😁 Thank you for watching too 😊
I just found your channel and had already bought an Icy doll from the shop "The Show" a week ago. It was so nice that I purchased 2 more as why go anywhere else if the quality is so good! Best price too. For a first time shopper with them my first doll was $12 CAN. Just FYI for people still looking for Icy dolls.
I had a very similar feeling as you described as not really being particularly interested in Blythe or the Blythe “type” (big eyes, head, etc.) of dolls. Then I purchased one from Ali Express mostly out of curiosity. They have definitely grown on me. In fact I sort of love them now! I’ve never owned a real Blythe as I find them way to expensive for my budget so I do think these dolls are a great alternative. The only problem is now I’m hooked. I guess I now truly understand the expression “Curiosity killed the cat.” 😂
Hi Laurie, they are so addictive and especially at that price, i have 2 real middie blythes but not a Neo. That is on my wish list at some point but i actually think the Ali Express ones are so nice 🥰, thank you for watching 😊
I love these Blythe dolls, I have a good few of them and have done some of the basic customisations on them, like you say if you do make mistakes it’s not as bad as damaging a genuine doll - great review 🥰

I meant to comment the other day when you released the video but must have got waylaid. That lilac hair looks amazing and the orange is such fun. I have one of these dolls with purple and green hair.
The original Icy dolls had totally different face molds but the same eye mechanism as Blythes, but they don't get made anymore. All the ones with the original Icy face mold are fakes now and a lot of standard fake Blythe dolls get labelled Icy now for some reason even without the Icy face mold. I've always found the hair is better on fakes but the eye mechanism is better on the real Blythes. Real Blythes usually have super terrible hair 🙈🙊 But the rest of the overall quality of real Blythes is generally better than the fakies 👍
@@octopudding325 it's taken me over a year to get the hang of it all, but I can even tell the difference between the different Takara face molds now which is something I never thought I'd get the hang of haha. Really love the hair and faces of your 2 new girls! 💖 The fakies just have such amazing hair 💕

What I love about these factory Blythe is that they have wonderfully articulated bodies and can pose beautifully for photographs
