Hi it is difficult to tell with out seeing it but the first question i will ask is do you use USA terms? the reason i ask is because here in the uk we use different terms. Is it wide enough for the orange, if so just add on more rounds. Another size issue is the tension and the brand and size of the yarn. If you tension is super tight you may need to go up a hook size and double check you are using a Uk double knit yarn becasue they may all say they are a size but you wil get a variation with different brands. I hope this helps, let me know how you go 😊😊

Hi and thank you for replying. No I used uk terms and the yarn I used has a dk on it. I think my tension is quite tight so I'll try a bigger hook next time. I didn't really want to restart it so I just tried adding some more rounds and that seemed to work, it is still a bit tight to get on, but i will try remaking it another year trying with a bigger hook.
