oh man Rabea, I was convinced I didn't need a phaser. Didn't see the appeal or why I would need it. But thou hast done it once again, I want that pedal
Thanks for your lucid comments about what you liked about this phaser, Rabea. This sort of pedal review is far more helpful and useful than "reviews" or "demos" that only show somebody randomly twisting knobs on a pedal.
I love this phaser. Walrus Audio really created something original here. Unlike most phasers that have a dramatic sweep, the Lillian goes from a vapory swirl to a foamy throb, which makes it warmer and more pleasing at higher settings. What I really wish was demoed here was showing how the Lillian interacts with higher gain depending on its place in the signal chain. I think it really shines after dirt. Because the Lillian inherently sounds very thick, it doesn't need gain placed after it to chew on. And the nuanced controls can help fine-tune the desired amount of effect in the signal, so you'll never have to worry about it being too dramatic. Great video. The pedal sounds awesome, and I love your playing.
Rabea... I'm reasearching new modulation pedals and have recently purchased a Walrus Julia chorus. Wanting to add to that, I came across this video. As always, you do such a great job at not only demo'ing the differnt sounds, but explaining what's going on. I can't thank you enough for all the hard work you put into everything you do. Thank you!
I never heard about Walrus Audio until two weeks ago when I visited my favorite music store and saw a whole "demo pedal board" with almost all of their pedals. I asked if I could try it and ended up buying Lillian and Jupiter. I wanted a phaser for a long time since I'm very into late '60s/early '70s kind of sounds, and I can say Lillian is the best I've ever tried, loaded with retro sounds and so many different possibilities, as you said, very inspiring, and she looks great in my new pedal setup. I'm in love with Lillian. Your playing is also absolutely great, makes me want to try some similar things. Thanks!
Yeah. After hearing you play I changed my mind. Sounds amazing, easy to use. After another demo I watched I just thought it was too plain, but now I see its capacities. Good job and great playing!!!
The artwork reminds me of Turbo Kid, great post apocalyptic movie with a great new retro wave OST from Le Matos! The pedal sounds great though ^^ Sounded Satriani-like at some points Love from Dublin Bea ;)
Great demo of a disappointing phaser I got it this second it came out! And although it’s good I feel the fundamental phase shift sounds weak and not rich and creamy
Rabea, some of the stuff you're coming up here is just SICK! Holy shit, man! You're not only my favorite TH-cam guitarist, you're one of my favorites in the world. Rock on, brother! \m/
INCREDIBLE. You're such an amazing musician, it's possible to see when you get really inspired, everything sounded so lush. You made me want a Lillian on my board...
Something about the 6 pole setting and the (I'm assuming) drop D tuning on the Tele really gives it a clear low low end that I love. Almost like there's a pitch shifter on it.
I was thinking a Phase 45 and a Phase 90 into two amps was going to do it but its gotten to three wet amps already with a PH-1and sort of looks like I'll be shopping for yet another pedal chain soon. 🙉 Finally have room for a multi-knob model, I reckon, and I heard this was going to be a big year for choices. woot.
You playing's wonderful your explanation of the controls is great! your choice to play in back [& fast and furious] of your explanation ... not so much. keep at it you do a tremendous, in depth, full on job of it!
Oh man that sounds beautiful. I'd like to see a demo of this pedal with the keeley caverns v2, a warm over drive pedal on the clean channel of your new super kraken. Played on the tele and Chapman ml2 British standard. I can only imagine how amazing that would sound.
If you're looking for inspiring pedals to play through and get moody vibes from like Walrus Audio stuff, I highly recommend you check out Deep Space Devices pedal line.
Phase effect sounds spectacular on this device! Just makes me wonder what the big difference is between this and the Vanguard phaser they released a few years ago?? That pedal nearly made me sea sick playing through it...
How tall are you? Your hands make every guitar look small and comfortable. Then I play my tele and/or my chapman and I feel like a midget. Has anyone told you resemble Neal Schon? I can see you bobbing your fro up and down while playing Santana and Journey from the 70s. Like so many others, I could listen to you doodle around on your guitar all day. You and Dave Simpson. Even when you're playing super heavy stuff it's so calming. Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us.
Lillian sounds so cool, she is a very versatile phaser! I hate it when my mind is going to play with me. Do I want to take her with me, or do I get a very good Uni-vibe like the Fulltone or Jam?
I would have probably preferred a more wider rate control where a lot could be fine tuned in that lower region... i somehow prefer much slower rates in order to not change too cheesy. So for me the difference between off and 9 oclock could have been spread into half a knob turn for what i'd prefer. love the sounds though!
I've always found the Revv amps to sound a bit stale (personal preference). Turns out that what was missing was a Tele, because that tone is nice! The pedal sounds great too! Dare I say best phaser I've heard?
I just love your playing. One of the best I've ever heard, just perfect. Thanks man
You like Bea's playing here try Kings X. Ty Tabor is amazing.
oh man Rabea, I was convinced I didn't need a phaser. Didn't see the appeal or why I would need it. But thou hast done it once again, I want that pedal
16:38 on just Brilliant my friend!
Rabea needs to do a stoner/doom EP!
Dude! Yeah this passage is soooo sick! \m/\m/
That Tele though👌🙌
Thanks for your lucid comments about what you liked about this phaser, Rabea. This sort of pedal review is far more helpful and useful than "reviews" or "demos" that only show somebody randomly twisting knobs on a pedal.
holy crap, my pedal board is about to be 90% walrus audio
Yup. I’m in love with every pedal they make.
Seriously, I started with the deep six compressor and now in like 6 walrus pedals deep 😂😅
that means you are a man with a lot of money hehe 😉
Named after me!☮️ Phaser I do not have. Thanks for video.

Does it have volume boost like the Phase 90 or volume drop like many other Phaser pedals?
@@emrage78 Neither in my experience
Phaser is an effect that is hard to use well. Thanks for showing such good possibilities for this fx...
Just ordered one & copied the link to this vid to use it as a live instruction manual! Very nice.

you know just when to throw in that flat sixth for maximum filth impact in the midst of happy uplifting jams, I love it!
Where is this flat sixth you speak of?
I never heard about Walrus Audio until two weeks ago when I visited my favorite music store and saw a whole "demo pedal board" with almost all of their pedals. can't decide between this one and the crazy tube Cyclone...? Love the wahwah phaser sound à là Sonic Youth "Diamond Sea"
Yeah. After hearing you play I changed my mind. Sounds amazing, easy to use. After another demo I watched I just thought it was too plain, but now I see its capacities. Good job and great playing!!!
Intro reminded me so much of an old Tremonti song from the Creed/AB days
I've seen all the demos on the Lilian so far and this is my favorite!
Lovin the demo! great company, great artwork and name, great sound, and (as always) great Rabea!
psychedelic sound, very retro
Wow ! I never thought I’d want a phaser pedal one day.. Damn it Rabea !!!
ssmetalrulz I know right now I need a new wallet
Nice demo of how creative you can be with a phaser. Like the Julia it's got that extra versatility that makes it standout.
I am so getting this pedal! Loved the demo! Arrived a little late to the party, but better late than never!
This might be the first new pedal I’ve purchased in years and only about the third one in longer than I care to admit.
That’s the best phaser demo I’ve ever heard.
Bea is such an underrated guitarist. I come watch your pedal demos purely for the amazing guitar tones and licks. 🤘🏻
Same
Dammit Rabea, every time your review a Walrus Audio pedal I have to get it. Seriously though awesome demo and I can't wait to get it.
Accidently came to this video on. 5 speed. Great to see what is would look like with Rabea trying to do a video caned.
The artwork reminds me of Turbo Kid, great post apocalyptic movie with a great new retro wave OST from Le Matos!
The pedal sounds great though ^^ Sounded Satriani-like at some points
Love from Dublin Bea ;)
I was thinking the same thing lol.
Great movie👍
Great demo of a disappointing phaser I got it this second it came out! And although it’s good I feel the fundamental phase shift sounds weak and not rich and creamy
Easily the best dry sound (and wet sound!!) I've heard on the channel. Amazing :)
I see dis Tele is gettin some proper whackin! Cool playin, as usual, ta mate! All the best from PL
Sounds killer, a lot more professional sounding than my old Boss PH2
PH2 is still a classic
Rabea, some of the stuff you're coming up here is just SICK! Holy shit, man! You're not only my favorite TH-cam guitarist, you're one of my favorites in the world. Rock on, brother! \m/
INCREDIBLE. You're such an amazing musician, it's possible to see when you get really inspired, everything sounded so lush. You made me want a Lillian on my board...
Dang, that Tele sounds so rockin!
I'm feeling some Tremonti-esqe vibes in your jamming. Your style of playing here seems to be slightly similar with this dirty-phase tone. Very cool!
Something about the 6 pole setting and the (I'm assuming) drop D tuning on the Tele really gives it a clear low low end that I love. Almost like there's a pitch shifter on it.
I could listening to your improvisations for hours, the pedal sounds great too
I think everyone got one of these except me! They're all over TH-cam... 🙄
I don't have one, looking forward to getting my new tele though
You can fix that.
This is the best tone I've ever heard from you. Never sell that Tele! Unless it's to me..
Definitely the best guitarist from the Andertons crew, love your technique - awesome riffage !
I was thinking a Phase 45 and a Phase 90 into two amps was going to do it but its gotten to three wet amps already with a PH-1and sort of looks like I'll be shopping for yet another pedal chain soon. 🙉 Finally have room for a multi-knob model, I reckon, and I heard this was going to be a big year for choices. woot.
Love the sound of that Tele!
That opening is how 'The Herd' should have sounded. Drone is fine but holy shit that tone would have played into the rest of the album so well!
Bea I love your Custom shop tele. It sounds awesome.
Don't know if you were improvising, but I really enjoyed that last piece.
Yeah it was! Pretty vibey haha, I need to remember a few of these bits!
You playing's wonderful your explanation of the controls is great! your choice to play in back [& fast and furious] of your explanation ... not so much.
keep at it you do a tremendous, in depth, full on job of it!
1Kth like!!!! BEA! Killer as usual. Love the playing man.
Very tasty playing there my man!
Oh yeah yeah standing by
Oh man that sounds beautiful. I'd like to see a demo of this pedal with the keeley caverns v2, a warm over drive pedal on the clean channel of your new super kraken. Played on the tele and Chapman ml2 British standard. I can only imagine how amazing that would sound.
Great demo, great playing, great pedal
I was looking for a demo with more of the vibrato setting, thanks!!
"Now that's a tasty burger!"🍔
If you're looking for inspiring pedals to play through and get moody vibes from like Walrus Audio stuff, I highly recommend you check out Deep Space Devices pedal line.
I was hoping to hear some Chasin Jade tbh. Superb playing as always mate, you never let me down.
QnA: What is your favourite tuning to play in? And are all your guitars tuned differently for convenience?
Man, your riffage is on some other level - beyond normal humans
Rabea 15:07 beautiful playing dude I’ll order one of these now 😉
Fantastic! I’m in.
What tuning do you have this new Tele in? If low then has there been any tuning issues at all? Also I’m not a phaser fan really but this is sick
Outstanding stuff as usual!
Cheers Bea, nice review, we come in peace, set phasers to stun. :)
The "Beautiful tension" makes good pedals sound great and great pedals sound fierce. #allimprov
15:15 Concerning Hobbits!?
Ozrics! Great demo - I want one - Sold - Take my money, again....
Phase effect sounds spectacular on this device! Just makes me wonder what the big difference is between this and the Vanguard phaser they released a few years ago?? That pedal nearly made me sea sick playing through it...

All the Tool Vibes!
Lillian sounds so cool, she is a very versatile phaser! I hate it when my mind is going to play with me.
Do I want to take her with me, or do I get a very good Uni-vibe like the Fulltone or Jam?
You always have the sweet gear .
The artwork is done by Christi Du Toit! instagram.com/p/Bs7WAcXhAPt/
Very good 👍
this is great thanx
It's got a nice Uni Vibey sound.
dat 16:20+ part tho... :o
Damn that sounds sick!
Smooth phaser.
I just watched Henning but I kinda like your playing too....
Sounds GREAT!! :)
This sounds killer reminds me of Karnivool
This should be the new Tool sound along with Descent reverb.
What recording software do you use please, i would like to start recording music myself. Thank you
Jules.B Logic Pro X :)
DUBCSTUDIOS25 thanks
#AskTheFro: Dude your First Kontakt tune was amazing!! Would love to have the backing track to jam to at home. Cheers!
Very awesome

Lovely playing. What tuning was this in?
Rabea, its time for a Gibson Les Paul
Hahah welllllll.........
Rabea Massaad I think a black beauty would really fit you. Like the one from the documentary of the new toska album!
Hahahaha wellllllllllllllllllll.......
@@RabeaMassaad do it.
Rabea Massaad did you do it?????? I been looking at a DC actually😉
Nice video bro 😎😎😎😎
Well, yeah,- kind of what I meant.People come here for you and your opinions.
that shirt came with your tele right? do u know from above what price they offer it on the package? haha
I've always found the Revv amps to sound a bit stale (personal preference). Turns out that what was missing was a Tele, because that tone is nice! The pedal sounds great too! Dare I say best phaser I've heard?
Kinda Adam Jones-ish at the 13:00 mark
That sounds so much like Alter Bridge, idk why.
16:45 Creed - Wrong Way?
Haha by accident maybe? I never listened to them
What kind of Tele is that??
A custom shop double Esquire. :)
I'm GONNA 12 it haha
First!
Walrus Voyager is the best tube screamer type effect in the world.
Is there a new phaser out?
🤔😂
