This is really helpful. Gonna replace some water damaged planks myself instead of paying 500 Thanks!!
Good luck
Maybe two years later but I’ve watched this and it’s still really helpful! Thank you 🙏
Awesome
Great video. Plain, simple and descriptive
Thank you, this was excellent information. I knew this could be done but heard various ways to accomplish it. This makes the most sense and actually is pretty easy!
Great job!
Thankyou
Thank you...This helped
Awesome
Thanks!
Nice video
Thnx 👍
What do you do when the replacement plank u are using is not the same size as the damaged plank?? Make a video.
Is that just wood glue you're using? What if you had a concrete subfloor? Any suggestions? I am trying to repair a small area in a friend's home with concrete slab that had cat urine saturated planks. uugh. I have found how to remove the crystallized urine but need additional information on how to glue down replacement board to concrete. It looks and feels like contact cement. Any thoughts?
Look for construction adhesive that says wood to concrete, but use regular wood glue to put pieces of flooring together with
Hey! Great instruction on how to replace these planks! My house has the same engineered floors; they were installed when I bought it. Do you know where I can find some so I can replace some planks in my house? Thanks!
You probably have to get online for Bruce Hardwood
Would your “nipper” be a set of pincers? Or carpenter’s end cutting pliers?
Not sure
Where did you purchase the replacement wood, seems to be 5 1/2 inch. I live in Toronto Canada
The flooring was leftover from when it was installed...all ways a good idea to hang on to some for just this reason
@@GetToThePointplz123 thx
Who sang the song to get to you
Wow they used chip board for the subfloor instead of plywood....
OSB subfloor is more common than pywood
Better call saul voice
I've heard that before lol
I don't think the nail was necessary. The glue would've hold it for life. I'm not floor installer but my glued down flooring not moving at all.
What? Remove the kick and you could probably tap/slide the floor out.
It's glued
@@GetToThePointplz123 Yeah, I hadn't got to that part of the video yet🤣
