I haven’t really tested the car yet because I’m still in the 1200 miles break in period but man the thing hit 87mph on a long stretch local road the other day and it felt like 30mph. Did a quick but safe dash. That’s the difference with German and American muscle. American, u feel loosey goosey and would probably die but bmws keep you solid and safe by maintaining control. The only negative about the car thing is the steering wheel has a “lag” behind it. Not as sharp and quick responsive as my 2017 m4 or even my Lexus NX but it’s still fun to drive.
I traded my 2022 GR Supra Premium for the 2024 M240i. The Supra was insanely quick. The sounds the Supra made were incredible. Burbble, snap, pop... I just got the M240i. I needed a bit more space. Mine is the same color combo you have in the video, BK Grey and Cognac. It does drive great.

I’ve got a 24’ in Melbourne Red and I love it. I added the M Performance Exhaust and in Sport + it’s my little race car! More than enough speed/power for daily driving that’s for sure.
I have it in Black since 2023 February . Perfect daily car. You can cruise perfect with it and in 2 Seconds you can turn it in Beast. I configured it with the Adative Dampers.
Those are both going to be about the same to be honest. You’d really have to drive them back to back to tell any differences. But just depends if you need the functional back doors or not!
you should've picked this beauty instead of the X5, i guess ur a family man the SUV is more practical, but this car in this spec is better in my eyes than any car in the BMW line up
Well I have an R8, so don’t really need two sportscars. And I need the X5 for towing at the moment, so this works great for me. If I want a bmw sportscar, I’m going M2! Very happy cancelling this car.

Similar ride quality overall. But the handling in the M2 is much sharper and the suspension can get much stiffer in the M2. Very different cars overall. M240 has a much softer side and cant get as hard core. But M2 is still a fine daily
Well it's not worth buying a car she wasn't going to like. I already have two cars. So it just made more sense buying the X5 since thats exactly what she wanted. I'm having enough fun in the R8 and GR86

@@philipn5162 Honestly driving them you won’t feel a handling difference. As long as you have the M Soort package, they’ll feel similar. We have RWD and xDrive here. But the extra power helps get out of turns better and overall will be more fun and performance oriented. So drop on what you need

It’s a sporty entry-luxury coupe that does a lot of things well.

I went up to a high gear for cruising, nothing wrong with that..with your logic, you’d be going top speed by the time you got to 8th gear. I’d rather be in 8th gear at 45mph than in 4th, less stress on the engine and better mpg, for cruising situations.
@BrosFOURRSpeed I'd never get to 8th because you can cruise just fine at 5 or 6 given the speed you were going. The car may allow you to do it but that is not taught anywhere sir. The powerband is 3500 for third and 4th so 5th or 6th is way more reasonable than jumping from 3rd to 8th immediately. 7th and 8th gear is not just for causing, its for HIGH speed cruising. How fast were you going? If the revs are bellow 2000 - 2500 there is no reason to shift again sir. Improper use of equipment, there's cars back in the day that would shit a chicken if you did that.
@@LLTK22 You can’t compare old technology to modern vehicles. You Shift how you want and I’ll do the same. There is zero harm in driving at 45mph in 8th gear. I already mentioned the speed I was going. When cruising, there’s no concern for the power band, because I was cruising. If I needed to accelerate or wanted more power, I would downshift to the correct gear. Again ZERO harm and I do that in my personal vehicles as well.

Just watch the car and how it shifts in automatic, that's ideal. No damage from what you're doing, but not optimal and not correct as far as how you're suppose to drive the car. Drive how you want, but shift accordingly.

I just bought a '24 230i XDrive. It's surprisingly quick for a 4 cylinder.

Depends on if you want the more power. Personally I'd go 240 since I'm used to fast cars. But the 230 is still quick and more economical

Supras are too hard to find for MSRP. These shitty dealers are marking them up $5,000. I’m now looking into a BMW.
