210k mile on a v70 here. Starting to show its age with knocks and rattles but the D5 engine is spot on.

Awesome! As with any engine really but cool to hear a success story!

Great vid, I quite enjoyed it!
But im not sure about the Volkswagen 1.9 TDIs though, I search the second hand market here in Europe and I haven't seen many examples hit that mark, some people say that the weird CVT torque converter transmission Volkswagen was using might have been the thing wearing these engines down, but I'm not sure.
They tend to throw smoke and run rough even with good maintenance, I know some neighbours who services theirs quite frequently and her's still sounds like a tractor lol.
That being said, good picks! I agree 100% with all the rest, especially the W200~ era E classes, the electrics on them are very shoddy and go, but all the mechanical bits run fine!

Hello! Thanks for the comment, glad it was an enjoyable watch!
As for the 1.9TDI, I have heard of countless reviews and comments its the engine to go for and they run forever. Especially on Golf's.
That being said, it is always subjective to experience!

How about the octavias with the EA288 2.0TDI by VAG group

Are there any cars I've missed?

Does the new models of the S60 (specifically the T8 polestar) are still considered reliable?

Being new means they’re probably not old enough to have such data

I would say they are still very reliable. Newer models maybe less than the old S60 given changes in the systems

@@The11901 I mean, not necessarily. There are lots of car brands, land rover for example, that have chronical problems since the beginning, including newer models. And there's lots of cars that you face reliability problems with a few miles already.
That's why I asked the question, to know if the newer versions of the S60 is considered reliable even after the hybrid system implementation.

@@CarsWithBen Yeah, those older cars are just beasts built to last. I'm planning on buying the new hybrid version of it, hope it is still reliable. Thanks for the video!

Specify which generation of the certain model you're talking about next time because this video has like none value, no engine codes found, just a model of a car. Even the pictures you provided showed like 3 generations of volvos, then you started talking bout hybrids while showing early 2000s S60 that car wasn't available as a hybrid. Get your shit together

The point of that is to show the the Volvo S60 generations are great cars, not just 1 car. They are all great examples. I'll take your points and make sure they are specific as my audience obviously want precision
