    For those who dont have the in sound class options at 4:22 you have to enable show engine content in 'View Options'

      I'm using UE5, and I don't see a View Options menu. I went into Project Settings as well as Editor Preferences, and looked in the View tab at the top and it's not there even if I change the window settings back to UE4 classic look. So I'm not sure this is the solution going forward for UE5.

      @@KaioMkun There's no eyeball with that option next to the search bar. There's a tool widget looking icon that's replaced it. But there is no such option in it next to the search bar in UE5. They must have moved the option.

    If you were looking for Master to change all tracks you have ( music, sfx, voice etc... ) using the Master sound class from system didn't work for me. You can created your own Sound class ( call it for ex Master Sound Class - Custom ) and add in the top left under "Child classes" all the sound class you want it to modify when you will modify your Master slide bar.
    Then go back to your Sound menu blueprint and make sure to use custom master sound class in sound class using "set sound mix class override". Now you can have every sound assigned to the track you want and if you change only the music slide it will only change the music but if you change master it will affect all on top of your already made preset. ( like every game ).

      You also don't need to create a new custom sound class, you can add child classes to the Master (Default) sound class by choosing Edit Asset from a drop down where you can select sound classes. I searched for 'Master' in 'Edit->Project Settings' and found it there

    first. Thank you this fantastic tutorial. but I can't save change volume setting value. how to save change volume setting value? After moving the slide bar, when I get out of the menu and go back in, the slide bar is in position for the first time. But the value that controlled the sound is applied. And if I turn off and turn on the game, the value I applied is reset.

    If your audio never goes up again after sliding it down to zero, simply make the min value for the slider 0.001

      do not set it to 0.01 because then you can still barely hear it

      @@choledocholithiasis Yes setting it to .001 you will not be able to hear it but you will be able to increase the volume.

    Hi, for some reason at 4:26 I dont have any options, just none, I want to choose master volume but its not even an option, Do you know how I might solve this problem. Thx in advanced

      Nvm, if anyone else is having the same problem just go into view options, and select show engine content too

    Hey Matt, thanks for amazing tutorial as always, but I have a problem; when I leave the controls menu, the slider resets. Setting doesn't, but slider goes back to the middle. How can I fix this?

    Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but my slider doesn't change the volume. Was there another part to this video that covered some other set up? I've followed the video several times and I'm not missing any steps as far as I can tell.

    Open your orange Master Sound Class and create child classes within it. Add your sfx, music classes in there. That way you can control everything.

    For those who can't get the slider to stay where you leave it. Just watch the video How To Change The FOV On A Slider by Matt and you will see what you are missing. It was getting the slider and setting the value at the end.

      Side note if you see that it doesn't work then be careful to make sure your widgets are not being created over and over again. You can check it in the debug selection menu when going back and forth to see if more and more are getting created.

      I just made a "volume" variable in my character BP in which i safe the value. Then at event construct in the audio widget I get the current value from my character and set it to the slider value.

      @@Mr_Mike99 okay there are many ways to do it, part of the fun is learning new things to optimize your games and implement new features. I couldn't do that because I use multiple Ch blueprints but thanks for letting me know that can work too.

    Slider position change to default value every time as i quit from options. Maybe I will create variable in game instanse and casts. But its terrible. We need have simple metod for slider position.

    I have created a save for the slider and it is saving when you restart the game but the problem is when I restart the game , audio is not save and the slider is saved.

    Hello Matt thanks so much for videos do u know how can i attach any blueprint to players camera with child actor component?

      No problem mate, and that method should work yeah. Inside of the character blueprint you can add a "Child Actor" and parent that to the camera, by dragging and dropping it on to the camera. Now that blueprint actor should follow where the camera goes.

    Hey Matt, many people have asked this here, but the volume keeps resetting, as I understand because it keeps creating another widget. I'm using fmod too, so its a bit different from how u done this in the video. Could u explain what can I do to save the data or to keep the same widget instead of creating a new one each time I click the options button? Thank you

      If you still need help in your volume widget on the construct cast to your game mode/game instance and create a reference, in your game mode create a float called volume, and then on the volume changed set the volume float from your game mode.

      i'd make a "currentDayIndex" variable, set it as an integer, and whenever the day/night cycle event starts, use an "increment integer" node.

    how on earth do you want to assign the class for every sound individually if you have thousands of sounds in the game?? for example if you use multiple large soundpacks

    How can i add reset button. When i hit reset. Sound will come back to original volume. Same thing with color.

      Add a button called "Reset" or whatever you'd like to call it.
      Drag in the sliders, and click get.
      Drag off one of them, set value.
      If you want them all to be reset by the same button, plug them all into the same value.

    I have a question about something not from the video, if I install an assest of grass from the the shop(epic games store) , and I want the grass to be obe color in one place , and the same type of grass a different color in a different location. How do i do this?
    When I make a duplicate and change the hue on the duplicated assest , it changes the non duplicated one.
    Please help me. ITS URGENT!

      Hmm...did you try duplicating materials and changing color.
      Try that, and apply one material in duplication of grass and other in other duplicant ?

      1. Duplicate the grass's material and duplicate the grass Blueprint.
      2. Change color of material 2 to what you desire.
      3. Then apply material 2 to the duplicated grass BP

      I don't know if you've fixed it but when click the drop menu at the bottom right
      of it you should see view options and when you click that and click all the boxes in the content

    Is there a way to change the default Sound Class on all my sound waves? I have hundreds of sounds already in-game but their sound class is none by default lol

      In content browser go filters, and select Sound Wave. Then ctrl+A to select all, and enter to open. Then you can set the Sound Class to your master you created. Then ctrl shift S to save all. :)

      i think you can make a sound cue for them and use this sound cue for like the sfx instead of using the sounds spreadly and you can set the sound class to whatever you want

      Hey mate, this should work the same way as this video, but you instead connect the "value" on the slider event, into the "pitch" on the "Set Sound Class Mix Override"
