    Great videos you guys, I have a question could this jacket be good for mountain bike?

    I assume you’re not monitoring this video anymore, but between the tech V2 and bionic pro, are they both the same slim design? Is it still under the jersey, or is the tech V2 much more bulky? How does it compare to the leatt 3DF airfield light? Also, was the bionic pro CE level one? But both jackets are more for off-road Enduro/woods, correct?

      Well RC, you know what they say about assumptions ...
      Both the Alpinestars ones are about the same in terms of bulky / thickness, its really marginal between the two. Even including the Leatt, your are talking MM's of difference and not something that would really add too much bulk (from one to another) under a jersey or jacket. The Bionic is CE Level 1 (most off road rigs are) since CE 2 gets much more bulky but also, much stiffer. All are designed for the woods or off-road use though, if you wear and armor rig on the road you need an abrasion layer overtop. Feel free to talk more specifics with our riding team in Customer Service too, they are happy to answer all question you have as you narrow down your selection. Ride safe! - Pat

    My chest is a size 44, will the 2XL Bionic action jacket be a good size option or an XL?

    This can be used as replacement for conventional protection jackets ? i really hate jackets specially because of the hot weather on my city.

    I am dreaming of an armored mesh shirt like this with Anti Abrasion Material for riding on the street on those really hot days .. Wearing long sleeves yet still getting some sun tan under the mesh ..
    I am thinking of a dual layer Mesh with a waffle material sandwiched in the Middle .. I took a slide last summer after hitting a deer... and it ate holes on the top of the forearm and under the solid plastic chest plates over my stomach shredded my t-short underneath too ..
    I have worn just a T-shirt while riding on many hot days .. and it makes me Nervous..

      The most protective yet highly-ventilated armored mesh jacket we have is the Knox Zephyr Pro Jacket. It has shoulder, elbow, back, AND chest armor. The mesh and stretch fabric are very abrasion-resistant. -DrewZilla

    Can i use Bionic Pro v2 under my textile jacket(which a bit larger then my size) for everyday commute?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      As long as you have an outer layer for the abrasion aspect of an accident, these would protect from the impact if wearing them underneath. Wear what makes you comfortable and focused on the road! If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach out to our Gear Geeks at 877.792.9455 or cs@revzilla.com. Ride safe - Pat

      We'd recommend MTB specific armor rigs since they are designed specifically for the ride. We have a few of options on our site for it that you can check out.

    Could the bionic tech on there a tracksuit?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, because the shoulder and elbow armor will be too bulky under the track suit's armor. If your track suit has shoulder and elbow armor, then consider an armored track vest with added chest armor. -DrewZilla

    are the elbow pards abrasion resistant, for highway speeds?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No they are not. This is primarily an impact absorption armor set for off-road use, not an abrasion resistant material for the road. You would need to cover this in a jacket that focuses on the slide to make it useful on the highway. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks at 877.792.9455 or CS@revzilla.com. Ride safe, -Pat

    Whats the real difference between this and road armor that makes this an offroad only piece?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      The armor itself is pretty much the same, as it's CE Level 1 or CE Level 2 armor. The difference is in abrasion resistance. On-road, you generally wear an abrasion-resistant leather or textile jacket with built-in CE-rated armor, whereas off-road, you might wear an armored shirt underneath a motocross jersey or an enduro jacket/shell (a light textile jacket without armor). By separating the armor, you can more easily layer jerseys, enduro jackets, and/or rain jackets. We're recommending this for off-road use, because wearing this by itself on-road does not provide adequate abrasion resistance. Hope this explanation helps! -DrewZilla
