That middle of the lane riding with a sidecar is killing me

Put a bag of cement in the sidecar until you get used to it, it makes sense.

I am looking for a Honda Shadow and also hoping to put a sidecar on it so that it could be a daily rider/utility bike.

what harley sidecars have you tried? and would you say that they'll be able to do 75mph (120kmh) to 85 mph (140kmh) comfortably on a highway?
Did that rig have trail compensating triple clamps?
Your "wide" comment brought to mind Pontiac's slogan for their architecture feature GM called Wide Track. Mostly Pontiac used this ad description for it's land-yacht Bonneville; a nameplate very familiar with Triumph enthusiast.

The best ones are the off-road ones with suspension that are usually on BMW 1200 GS bikes etc
They're also used to be a company called FlexiCar in the '20s and '30s and some people still have them that allow the bike to lean properly like that
