I have driven and owned many cars that people would dream to have. One of the cars I currently own is the Tricoat red Quad with pogea racing Stage 2 (707hp). I absolutely love the car. the drive, handling, looks, transmission, MPG everything is just amazing. I will always keep this car. I was one of the original owners in US and I will always keep in the garage no matter what. I know this car will be a classic one day.
30 seconds into the video and I’m already enjoying it! It’s been far too long since your last video! Congrats on reaching 50k subscribers, have you started planning on how you’re going to reach 100k? 😎
With Paul and Sam in California, it's refreshing to get something slightly closer to home. I think Europe is a much better looking continent than North America. Also, I like the intro looks like an "AFK" screen from Forza Horizon 2.
Great review! Awesome car.. owned my Misano Blue Quad for a few weeks now absolutely love it! Drove down to Monaco from Cheshire covered 2600mls in a week ~ bucket list engaged!
Great to see you back Luke - was getting concerned! Awesome shot at the start over Monaco. Giulia is superb - my mates just taken delivery of his Alfa Red one :o) (and congrats on the 50k=! ...well deserved)
Finally a new video. Been waiting for this. And with one of my favourite cars. I do love that car. And i might buy one when i move to Rome later this year. Great video. Hope for lots more soon.
Cars with Luke Oh yes that will be awesome. And i might also be able to get something that's not as practical too. But will have to see how much a place to live sets me back.
Great content once again, and that noise from the alfa!!! I still can’t believe you only have 50,000 followers. Your content deserves a much wider audience. Not least because your not a posh, prententious guy from old money / stockbroker. The fact you are normal and grounded is half the appeal. A guy in his early thirties, dressed like a businessman at the gol course doesn’t talk to the masses. Keep it up! Maybe i’ll see you on al alpine pass in the summer once my M2 is run in.
Jesus H Christ, the first minute of this video is some of the most stunning cinematography I've ever seen! The car is awesome and congrats on 50k. Glad to see a new video from you
If you need some advices on the best roads and locations in the area you can get in touch! (Your videos and the efforts you put into them deserve better than the filming locations all the other youtubers with lack of imagination are constantly using)
Happy to see a new video from your Channel again. In my opinion the wait was worth it, superb Video!👍🏻 One of the best looking sedans, definitely a dream car!
Everytime I see a Giulia Quadrifoglio while I'm driving I lower the car window, look at it and hear its noise, even if it's just idling. I love that car.
First of all, welcome back, great video, After driving an M3 CP with M Exhaust and a QV, My impressions are, giulia front end is more direct and responsive, even way too much for non track use, interior and seats felt a step lower in the gulia, there arent nearly as comfortable. gearbox: bmw gearbox is with the pdk the best in the market, paddles are better in the gulia, but I like them mounted on the steering, ride comfort, I would say on par, exhaust note: holy moly to the bimmer sounded way better than the giulia, at least from my point of view, plus there is no drone, dynamics, the dif and suspension and chasis in general, make the bmw feel like its on rails, I mean you can always make it go sideways, even in the wet I think its a more capable car than the gulia, at least in the road, the bimmer felt superior, and without any electronics on, the car was perfect, while the diff was doing all the important job, Mdm mode is a joy in the road, and it lets you have fun being safe, Gulia race mode, sounds great and feels great, but you are always feeling the back end moving around and having to correct it, brakes: gulia were Carbon ceramics and the brake feel was weird not manageable at all, bmw was superb, motor: I think both suit the car they are in, and I dont have a clear winner, here I love the way the bimmer push in every single moment and as linear as the gulia, infotainment: bmw is king here, sound system, quite good in both cars, styling: bimmer more aggresive and muscular, gulia doesnt look like it does what it does, its quite italian, reliability, both owners, have had the car for at least 1 year, and not gonna lie, bmw 0 problems, but a sensor in the tyres pressure not working and having to be replaced under warranty, gulia: infotaiment stopped working, several times, and then started working again, then bluetooth not working, or the car didnt let you rev it to the max if you didnt restart it, one of the parking sensors stopped working, and the gps sometimes stopped working. If you are buying one of these two, buy the bimmer, if you are leasing maybe the gulia, could do. Myself, I think the bimmer is quite common and that is a factor, but I think its the better car plus the way it feels going at high speeds, is superior, you feel too comfortable, which may cause some problems if you didnt have the HUD. Just my two cents.
Stunning video, as per always, although music choice at the start was a bit not your usual style I digress, questions for the Q&A: How did you end up being an expat in the alps (absolutely unreal area you live in), i remember very early on you mentioned working for a supercar rental company? Is your goal to not rely on someone else for your income and hopefully pursue as much videography/photography as you can now?
I've watched all 3 of your Giulia videos and all I can say is awesome job, there truly is just *something* about Alfa's that unless you've experienced driving them you'll never really understand. Of course I'm biased being an Allfisti and all! I do own a Porsche though, albeit a 928, still a masterpiece of engineering even though it's not a 911 as some would argue.
@@carswithluke I totally agree, I've driven a couple of 911's and as brilliant as they are, they've never quite been able to get under my skin like an Alfa. The 928 I bought because the deal was just too good to pass up.
Hi Luke, As a former motoring journalist, and with such a plethora of car channels out there, you are a breath of fresh air and I wish you every success. I really enjoy your honest, humble reviews - don't change! After recently selling my beloved Maserati Quattroporte Sport GTS, I have been looking for the perfect car to fill the void. Having two equally car crazy, growing teenage boys, my brief is to find a 4 door super-saloon as my daily driver that I can both enjoy with my family and equally blat up a mountain road or blast down the coast with just for the joy of driving. I haven't yet driven the Alfa Quardrifoglio, but from all my research it ticks all of my boxes - fast, stylish, practical, individual and Italian! This version you drove is in my perfect spec and colour (as I am looking at a 2016/17 model used) - Please can you tell me the actual colour to help my search? Thanks in advance. Grant
Congrats on 50K Luke! Sad it's not 500K already. About the Q&A, I've got some questions I'd like to ask you: #1 How are you enjoying life in Switzerland? #2 When are you planning on visiting Lorenz for some more bikes and photoshoots? I'm the biggest fan of your work! Cheers!
You are definitely one of the most talented car youtubers in my opinion, keep making these awesome videos. Questions for your Q&A, what made you start with youtube, and how did you start of doing it? And btw, that alfa is stunning.
Cars with Luke So awesome to have you back. Had been watching some old videos recently wondering what happened. In terms of Q&A, what inspired you to get into cars and TH-cam? Why have you chosen to live in Switzerland? Any advice for someone who wants to develop /work on their watch "game"? (BTW, how is the relationship with Jaeger le Coultre going?)
Congrats on the new Part time Job plus the 50K Luke, and welcome back! Questions: When are you getting your next car, and do you know what it will be? Favorite road & track to drive? What new tech toys/gear are you looking forward to getting? (camera...etc?) Any big trips coming up? GT3 RS is your favorite sports car to drive & own soon hopefully (smiles per mile), but what would you like for a daily...AMG G-wagon still?
Cars with Luke I'll be there in just 3 weeks but with a family, it'll probably be in an ordinary car. Certainly nothing like this gorgeous Alfa 😆 Still get to enjoy the amazing roads though.
Saw your first video of the Q.V. you’ve inspired me. Got one :) would have loved the green (or Monte Carlo blue). Settled for Vesuvio Gray! Well, if someone is buying this car for the color..they are mad. Cheers bro!
Finally a new video from you! It was worth waiting, cinematography on point yeat again, well done Luke! My questions are: what car would you buy if you had infinite money and what is your favorite place/country that u have visited so far.
Definitely deserve more subscribers man! Congrats on 50k subs! Anyways, my questions for the Qna are what luts do you use for your videos, and when are you going to do your setup tour? Sorry if I keep asking this.
Question: remember that idea of filming a video series introducing each of the iconic swiss / austrian / italian mountain passes? What happened? You still want to do this? Because I sure as hell would want to watch it! Anyway, keep up the good work! 100K, here we come!
Congrats Luke on reaching 50k subs. I still remember the first video I watched on your channel (carrera GT) and have continued your high quality content ever since! Here's to 100k 😎. My question. Would you do a video tutorial on how you shoot your videos and edit them? Your cinematography is second to none.
First of all, congrats on 50k!! Now here's a question for the Q&A: between the 991.2 GT3, 720s, Huracan Performante, 488 and the AMG GTR, which one would you own?? Which one would you use for a roadtrip?? And which would you drive on a track??
Luke Congrats on 50K subscribers. Ironically the first video I ever watched on your channel was the one on the Alfa QV and it sealed the deal for me wanting one ( i also subscribed that day :P). Glad to see you have more time in this one and looking forward to hearing your views on it. Its an amazing car despite all the bandwagon " its going to break down" haters. I do have a Q: How are you able to obtain all these cars for your tests, I assume its due to being part of the Press? Not sure how it works. always wanted to know.
Cars with Luke. Seriously man keep ur imagination and scientific. Thinking up coz the way the sun appears in this video frm noweare is really spectacular conrags man👍
Luke this is quality content as ever! Your videos are some of the best in the automotive part of TH-cam! My question is: what are the current sports car plans? Are you still looking for something?
One more day waiting for your next video and I was about to complain on an Instagram direct about the fact you let us here without it for a whole month! :D :D well done mate; great landscape (cars included, obviously) ;) For your Q&A: which route would you reckon should be a "must-do" for someone who wants to enjoy Switzerland on a 2 day car road trip? How would you divide in % the time spent in driving&filming vs. editing and posting? I am not going to ask you what you enjoy the most as i might know the answer! ;) Good luck with your new job, I hope you'll enjoy it. Stiv.
The Giulia is like a beautiful girl who everyone love but not all admit to do so.
