💚Helping mother nature humbly so she can prove and exhibit her dazzling resilience and sparing power again 💚🤩😍 Thank you very much for this beautiful video🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💚🌱🕊☮️🙋🏻♀️
Hello there - thanks for the vids. I have a Catt Lueddemanniana, which as far as I know, grows in winter. And indeed it is throwing roots out like crazy. It has 5 smallish leaved back-bulbs which are nice and plump, and which I want to remove from the rest of the plant. Fingers crossed! LOL.
Sounds like you have things under control .. if the front section is big enough sometimes the shock of the removal of the back section can bring a spectacular show... 🫰
I have some rootless rescue orchids that I was given, so this was perfect timing for me. I think I’ve been keeping the bark too damp so I may back off on watering and focus on humidity. I wondered if using the rooting hormone would be helpful so I was glad to see that you use it. It couldn’t hurt! Since we are heading into the depths of winter here, I wouldn’t be surprised if I see no change until spring - at the least.
If there are leaves on the plants I often dont bother with rooting hormone but if you do use it make sure it is the one for easy to root / soft wood cuttings (No.1) anything stronger will stunt the bud growth . I also would not put on any hormone during the dormancy period especially if it gets very cold . Dont want to confuse the growth and force growth which will just die in the cold , using up stored energy .
Christmas gifts for every one
thanks

Thanks! That is very helpful information.
What is the WHITE that you put on the bulbs
it is a very weak rooting powder
Can i use bee honey instead of hormone rooting powder
as far as I understand honey just stops any infection getting into the open wound , I just use the rooting hormone to kick the backbulbs into action
Do the ants cause a problem to the orchid>?
they can bring in bugs like scale and aphids but some protect your plants lol
