I considered Atoll a couple of years ago when renewing my set-up, but due to lack of availability in britain, I went for Schiit instead; they also make quality for less & for normal people.

I haven’t heard the he6se v2 with the HD120 but I guess that you may be stretching the amplifiers limit powering that headphone.
The synergy is good though with hifiman headphones, I know this because I tested the amp with the he400se which I own.

I bought Sennheiser HD 660S2 a few days ago. I wonder if Atoll HD120 would be suitable for this headset?

The atoll unit will have no problem powering those Sennheiser headphones, i actually found that the amplifier seems to like dynamic driver headphones so it should be a good match.
