1:40 100% this. easy games are easily forgotten and easily dropped. if Pantheon wants staying power with the players... compel us together with challenging gameplay from lvl 1. i dont think we need to raid every Decaying Skeleton. but we need regular challenge. easymode will satisfy only the ritalinkids and only for a short time.
Spot on my friend my sentiment too as you heard from my comments. For me there is a balance to allow you odd times to spend 30 minutes or so faffing about to gain a bit of exp so you can progress. But I have had the most fun grouped and duo with my RL friend when time permits. I am having fun in game for sure compared to how this was 2 years ago feels like a different game completely. This gives me hope for the future of the game. Just hope the steam access thing does not bite them in the foot right?

Can Skar be a Ranger I never noticed tbh? I will have to look at the class race combination again before EA starts for sure. I assume we will be spread all over the 5 or six zone with the races and a new start cannot wait personally.
I wasn't impressed with Pantheon at first. The world seemed very bland and lacking in character, the animations were stiff, the UI felt very cheap. I pushed through the first few hours and the more I played the more hooked I became. Now, after more than 10 hours I can't stop thinking about the game. You were so right - the challenge is what makes it so appealing. The core gameplay is fantastic, and it made me realize that as much as I want to see them improve the look and feel of the world, I could still get absolutely lost in this game because of what they've got already. The challenge, the pacing, the grind, the tactical combat - it's really great. So glad I gave it a chance, and I hope the success of their Early Access will speed up the development.
That is what happened to me over the past month prior to EA. I slated VR for their change of direction to the cartoony style and bland looking environment. Then I started to play the game and the mechanics took over my mind and led me down this path of righteousness sharing my experience with others. I gave VR a second chance and am so glad I did because it is to easy to brush it under the carpet and call it a failed project. Now I see what all the VIP people saw back two years ago when I was calling it a scam. FOOL ME right? Wasted 2 years looking for a game to play that I had access too. Here I am preaching the goodness to everyone, lol. Is it a finished article. NO! far from it but a little gem bubbling away in the background infecting the player base like a disease which cannot be cured once you are infected. I too go to bed at night thinking of ways to beat x,y,z then fall asleep, only to wake up still thinking about the thing I fell asleep over...WTF! I booked an appointment with my doctor to chat with him about getting help!!!! Hope you have as much fun as I have been having my friend. @CheekyChapGaming I was an early backer but I eventually felt like I had wasted my money and gave up hope, so this experience has been a pleasant surprise. I agree with everything you said. Just curious - what do you think are the top two improvements the game needs to work on to make it even better, for you personally?
@@Madkingstoe This is pretty subjective question to be fair and hard to fully respond to in a way to give insight as to my feelings. I may be able to answer this once I have a character at level 40 and have experienced many of the areas and content it currently has to offer. Based on what I have experienced up to now I would say forget about looks and concentrate on the content as many of the areas you travel to from and too are far too spars. You might see this for your self if you travel from Wilds end to Thornefast. I would say three quarters of the journey which takes around 45 minutes if you are able to run directly. However it's never that easy in areas where there are high level mobs. Also the crafting is getting there and they have removed JC and I want that back in to test too. So on a whole the crafting has a long way to go and everything looks bland and everyone looks the same until you get above lvl 12. Warrior class still not flushed out and mine is sat at lvl 10 waiting to see what happens. I still haven't grouped up in a real group with other players to see what dungeons are like and I will be doing this after a month or so once the player base settles down and I get to know so regular players I can rely on and group with so I would say sorry my reply is not fully flushed out one but still much to see and do before I start commenting on all aspects of the game. Thanks for asking this question and making my brain hurt thinking about it so close to going in to couch mode for the holiday period. 😜I also appreciate you watching and supporting my channel.
