People make me sick ! … I am 60 years old and have rented most of my adult life … Not once have I reneged on my rent !… maybe late once or twice due to a long weekend or a shortage but only for a day or two … But NEVER would I expect my landlord to live in his property free of charge !!! … How disgusting are these people … These owners have their own mortgages and families to feed !… And when we rented we treated our rental like it was our own … mowing grass keeping yard and home tidy clean and free of malicious damage …

I feel so sorry for the sub tenants who get ripped off and live in terrible conditions. They pay huge rental and have no idea that there is a "real" landlord.

    • @novakattila

They probably should be adults and check who owns the property on record and if its different from the person who they rent from to ask a subletting agreement? People seem to have zero life experience. Then again I bet most of these people know there is something fishy/illegal going on they just don’t care do they are basically accomplices.

From all the programs I've seen, it appears that the UK seriously needs to revamp its laws concerning ownership, renting, and the legal requirements involved in expulsing bad tenants. If landlords can't count on the rentability of their property soon there won't be any landlords left.

It depends on the law. In mortgage loans you can’t start foreclosure until the account is 90 delinquent. That’s actually 4 payments behind. From what I can see, these owners can not start eviction until two months in arrears.

British eviction laws need serious change to stop punishing citizens who have one rental property for supplemental income. Miss 2 month's rent & you're gone. Also, people who have been shown kindness with a short-term rent-free stay should have no legal standing & face an automatic eviction upon request of the homeowner.

High court enforcement officer looks like the actor Gary Senise. I love to see people getting thrown out of their homes on 30 minutes notice. haha, like living there a year with no rent entitled them to a few more years. Landlords. Make SURE you get a judgment against the rotten tenants. My cousin got an eviction and a court ordered judgment for over $6,200. US funds. They got evicted and left. THREE years later, the woman said they were trying to buy a house and wanted him to take that eviction off their records. He told them NO because they still owed him rent. The banks turned down their loans. IN the meantime, he went back to his attorneys office and they went to court with their judgment and got a seizure order for that $6,200. The bank gave it to them and about four days later, those people's checks started to bounce. They called back up and wanted all that money returned. He blocked their calls from his phone.

It should be in the lease agreement with the letting agent and the prospective tenant that the property CANNOT be SUBLET out. Should the tenant sublet the property then the contract should be null, and void and the subletting agent tell the tenant that he must vacate the property immediately, or the Police will evict them. This should then not become a civil matter. The Police should have the right to arrest the tenant if he does not comply as the tenant has committed a fraudulent act. Also, the tenant should not be allowed to change any of the locks. They do not own the property only have the right to occupy it. Is the UK a banana republic or what. Crooked Police, crooked Judges, crooked politicians, crooked letting agents, crooked car salespeople etc etc Also letting agents should not illegally hold onto rental monies collected .

In this episode the Asian man gets his property back because the tenants submitted false documents to the court but the court let him leave. Just go about his merry way. In another episode the landlord is showing up and taking his rent by force and now the cops are called. So which is it. At this point I think the only one making any sense is the guy showing up and getting his money by force.
