Jeanine is me 😂 I was shocked the whole pregnancy that I had something growing inside of me and now that’s he’s out and he’s 3 months I’m like “omg I’m someone’s mom what am I doing” LOL.
You are definitely not alone in your feelings!!! I was so scared, but once I gave birth I was like I CAN DO ANYTHING 💪🏽

Thank you for addressing infertility. My husband and I started trying for a baby 4 months ago and no luck and I just recently got diagnosed with pcos. It’s heartbreaking. I would love to listen to the podcast with the doctor. I think that’s such a great idea! Also congratulations on your pregnancy. You are so blessed ❤️

There are always so many opinions about there, but knowing that Jesus choice you to specifically be your baby’s mom and knowing that you have the specific instincts for your own child, that no one else on the planet has, has helped me so much in my parenting choices and blocking out the opinions 💞💞💞

I love hearing your journey and so happy for you, Jeanine!! I’m pregnant with my 4th and have had such good experiences with birth! I did have a c section with my 2nd which did require more healing emotionally and physically but God designed our bodies to HEAL so beautifully. God is so good. What I did with my 3rd was watch all the positive natural birth videos on TH-cam and take a Bradley class on natural birth and it was so helpful! My 4th time around I CANT WAIT to give birth again because Gods design is so incredible and there’s nothing that brings you closer to Him than being so vulnerable and having to surrender and find out how His strength is made perfect in our weakness. There is nothing to fear. But it is so healthy to talk about fears in pregnancy and motherhood and bring them out in the open and encourage each other because we can then dispel fear with the truth of Gods word!

I’m so excited for you!! 🤍👏🏼 I had my son when I was 21, the best thing you can look forward to every time you start to feel fear creep up during pregnancy is the second they lay your baby on your chest. It is a love like no other I just remember saying oh my God oh my God my baby boy my baby boy 🥺😭 pregnancy was so hard for me watching my body change so it’s normal to have those feelings! God bless you guys! It’s amazing to be able to raise children to know the Lord, parenthood has shown me how the way we are with our children is the way God looks at us as His children. It’s a love that’s unexplainable 🥺💖

I love this ❤ I had my 1st son when I was 19 & the fear that I had the entire 9 mos was so real. I really didn’t even enjoy my pregnancy because people constantly told me I didn’t know what I was getting myself into or my life was over. The moment I met my son I can’t even explain the feeling of fear leaving my body all the worry & anxiety was GONE. Being a mother is my biggest flex & the way your heart grows is crazy. I lvoe both my boys! My husband & I are better because of the kids God gave us!

One thing I clung to in both of my pregnancies is that I was not in control, and frankly praise the Lord! Imagine if I had to control how my babies grew and formed and all their delicate design! It was so incredibly freeing knowing the Maker of the Heavens is not only in control but He knows each and every detail of my babies already AND the details of my deliveries ❤

You are always so graceful! Love you
I’m prego with my second baby right now and I literally cried when you announced!!
I’m taking one a day too. With my first I did ritual and honestly I don’t think there is enough of a difference other than the price point.
Soo many people will want to share their story and their advice. Negative people especially. They can get in your head. Just know that once baby comes those fears kind of go away! At least for me, def with prayer, I felt so sure of myself when I held my boy. God created us to bear children and it’s more than just physical. It’s mental. I defend myself and I am confident in the decision I make for my kid. I listen to others but ultimately I research and pray and somehow KNOW what my baby needs and what’s best for him. I was so scared during my entire pregnancy but once he arrived it was an amazing switch in my brain that is hard to describe.
You’re gonna be an amazing mom and Kaleb will be an amazing father! Congrats to the both of you ❤❤❤❤🎉

Having children changes everything. It’s supposed to. I highly recommend Ina May’s books, the Bradley method, the documentary “the business of being born,” and watching positive birth videos on YT. Blessings! Praying your pregnancy and birth journey is exactly what you pray for and desire. I’m a mom of three. I had an emergency cesarean, a VBAC, and a home birth in that order. If I could go back and do all the research I would’ve opted for home births every time. We each deserve to feel safety and peace so if that’s the hospital for you, great! Godspeed 🖤

I’ve watched you for years bc we are about the same age and I related to you so much. When I got married in 2017 I was in a different season of my life so I couldn’t relate to your content at the time but when you later started more Christian content I came back. Me and my husband had our first baby in April 2024 so we are in this new season and I’m so happy you are too! Congrats to you and I’m so glad you have others around you to go through this bc it’s really hard to do this when no one around you understands. Postpartum really is the hardest but I know having friends/family around will make it so special and a great memory as you guys learn in this season. -Becca (aka fellow okie)

As someone who desperately didn't want children and tried to prevent it religiously and STILL got pregnant- let me tell you.
    IT IS LITERALLY ✨️✨️✨️MAGICAL.✨️✨️✨️
Something about a teeny, teeny version of you and your love is so incredibly incredible. I can't even begin to explain how I actually feel like I'm living in a sparkle land with my baby.
It has brought out amazing qualities in my husband that I only saw vestiges of before.
Our marriage is more secure and fun than ever before. Pregnancy and facing parenthood has pushed us closer together.
I really do grasp an element of God's heart towards His children that I never would have otherwise.
I'm shocked that this is true, but I don't care about all the things I love doing that are nixxed or at a minimum right now. It truly is a momentary thing, and I don't want to miss all the good right in front of me- and there is SO MUCH.
We didn't have the finances whatsoever when we got pregnant. The Holy Spirit showed me and deeply planted in my heart, the realization that Who God is, is Provider. That's literally WHO He is. It's His name. It's His nature, the very fiber of His being, irreversible. I can depend on Him. We are so responsible with finances, but He has done one astounding thing after the other along the way, that are making the numbers work, and we are still making slow progress toward our financial goals.
There's a saying that babies come with bread under their arms.
If God rewards you with a child, He will not leave you or your baby high and dry. Rest in the knowledge that He cannot go against who He is, watch expectantly, and He will show you that you truly can laugh without fear of the future. 🤲🙌

Seriously wishing you the best pregnancy and I am enjoying following along! I truly appreciate your desire to bring a doctor on this podcast to discuss women's health and hope it happens. When speaking about infertility and the ways our environment/health plays a role, I don't know if you meant to allude this but when you said "many doctors just slap birth control on most women" it came across as if birth control can lead to infertility when that is not the case. I just don't want other women to be scared of taking medicine that has benefits beyond just preventing pregnancy. As someone with PCOS, birth control was the only medicine to regulate my period and take away the debilitating symptoms I used to face. Definitely think it's important to have a doctor on and debunk rumors/deep dive. Looking forward to continue to follow along on your pregnancy!

Yessss! The opinions of others is WILD!!! I’m 36 and pregnant with my first baby…I have been with my husband for nearly 15 years, married for 10!! We chose to wait, we both only want 1 child (an argument for others in and of itself) so we were not in a hurry at all! People told us, you’re old, only getting older, it’s gonna be so hard to get pregnant, you’re gonna regret it, we heard it all!! Fast forward to telling people we were pregnant, we got, was this planned??? Are you sure y’all really wanted this??? 🙄😳, it is truly ridiculous!!!! We also were extremely blessed and got pregnant on the first try, I got my nexplanon out June 15th and by July 15th I was pregnant!! I say that not to brag but to prove, you truly have no idea!!!! Do not voice opinions upon others!!!

I gained a lot of weight in my 1st trimester too! I don’t really know why but I think it’s maybe because I’m a smaller woman like you and once the baby was in there there my body was like “let’s fatten this girl up so she can grow this baby!”
I think all bodies are just different and everyone’s pregnancies are so unique.

I had to laugh. The boob thing is so real. They get so big, and your clothes and underwear just don't fit you right anymore.😂
I've found it easy to get lost in all the BEST ways to do this or that for my baby, and I've come to the point where, Yes be smart about what you do, but ultimately you just have to do what is right you and that will look differently for everyone. I'm so glad to let go of that stress and bondage. We'll learn as we go.
    So happy for you guys!!!🥰

But my father won a lifetime achievement award in Infertility from Yale (Still practices as a Division head at UMass) while my sister is an attending at Brigham (top OB/GYN hospital in the world). It’s normal to gain weight in the first trimester, especially if you were at your lowest weight you may gain “more” than someone who already may had had a few extra pounds. Also, at first it can be frustrating ‘cause you can feel like you just look bloated or “fat”, at least I felt that way, until the belly finally pops and you actually start “looking pregnant” or becomes more obvious that it is a pregnancy belly and not just belly because of regular weight gain.

Book recommendations (: Ina mays guide to childbirth, birthing from within, prayers and promises for a supernatural childbirth. Watch positive birth videos (hospital and home birth so you can see both sides) build to birth on TH-cam is really good and actually helped me remove a lot of fear like tearing and why pushing on your back isn’t natural etc(i don’t listen to her meditation tracks though) and of course read scripture over yourself and your baby ♥️ I’m due in late February and birth was my biggest fear and literally just giving it to Jesus is the only thing that’s helped. When people try and tell you their bad birthing stories, just say hey I’m really sorry that happened and rebuke that spirit of fear. Praying for a healthy baby and a quick and painless delivery for you !

Congratulations Jeanine!🎉 I’m a mom of a 1 yr old and currently pregnant due in May 🩷 I really had to block out a lot of opinions to keep my sanity. You are so right on learning boundaries, you have to be their advocate! Don’t worry about learning everything, sleep was one thing I learned as I went. We tried crib sleeping and realized co sleeping worked best for us along with the research we found. For prenatals, I’ve heard the One a day vitamins have “fillers” along with most general grocery store vitamins because the cost to make quality vitamins is more expensive. I take the New Chapter prenatal vitamins because they’re organic. You are doing great Jeanine, I remember how overwhelming it feels at first!!! Relying on the Lord is what we can do best 🩷
