    The world lost an amazing human being on January 20th, 2023. He was a skateboarder of world fame, a knowledgeable and experienced Arborist climber, a devoted husband and a loving father. He was my friend. Rest in Peace "Inbred" Jed Walters. I am grateful for the time we shared.
    As they say in Hollywood - the show must go on. Speaking of Hollywood, make sure you catch the scene we reenact from a cult classic. You can't miss it.
    WOW! Here we are at episode 6 of Seattle Arborist. So much has already happened and we can't wait to show you so much more! Speaking of so much more, this one is full to the brim with new happenings. Or should I say its one full chipper truck?
    We start out meeting up with Ryan "Randyisthemandy", an arborist with 17 years experience. He and Peter talk shop while prepping 2 brand new Stihl chainsaws before heading out to take down a dead tree. Peter O joins them with bucket truck number two and they duel their way down a tangled mess of Deodar that was killed by draught, blight and a local development. You'll get to see a rare transformation of this tree go from lush and beautiful to dead and brittle in less than a year thanks to some movie magic. You'll also meet a wildlands firefighter who explains the similarities between that job and what arborists do daily.
    Then we hop clear across Seattle to check in with Sarah, our most decorated arborist here at Seattle Tree Care, who is trying to save four young pear trees before it's too late. Due to the delicate nature of their unestablished roots, she whips out her trusty air spade and gives us a demonstration of this specialized tool of the trade. She carefully operates on the roots with the help of Keaton and after a successful surgery, we check back in with Peter and Randyisthemandy for the completion of their job.
    In one video you will see a crew save a tree, one crew take down a tree, another crew fix a chipper, and one estimate for a future removal. If that doesn't sound like a full day, I invite you to check back for the next video. It's going to be crazy! As a matter of fact, stick around til the end of this video and you can watch a preview of it. Oh and I hope you don't mind, I tried out a new intro on this one.
    As always, be safe and thanks for watching!

    You may have just created the best tree videos on TH-cam. I love all the different views of the whole company. As well as the knowledge that’s tossed in the mix. You have something special here.

    Love the plant health care content. It’s non existent on my radar so I really appreciate learning from that. Good work!

    The captive bar nuts were standard on the first generation 661s but we're recalled because it was believed that they contributed to the cases cracking. They must have fixed that.
    I too prefer the 1/2 wrap saws for storage purposes, flush cutting and weight savings.

      There is actually won’t more forage of them talking about the half vs full wrap but the audio wasn’t good so I scraped it. Didn’t have time to mic the guys when they were discussing it.

    Randy is truly the Mandy! Great video, like the insight and great editing. Are you a firm believer in the no one handing policy for everyone all the time?

    • @SeattleTreeCare
      @SeattleTreeCare  ปีที่แล้ว

      From a safety standpoint, yes. Randy has been doing tree work for nearly two decades and obviously knows what he's doing. Saying something to him would be like telling a lefty they cant write left handed.

    Bless Your message about Jed was very nice. I’ve got a question: Was James Jed an Orthodox Christian & what church was he buried from? His home work shop is covered with Orthodox icons. Thanks 🙏 Fr. John

    • @SeattleTreeCare
      @SeattleTreeCare  ปีที่แล้ว

      He was Eastern Orthodox, yes. He was very devout. I do not know the church unfortunately.
