Thank you so much for doing this video, we are looking to purchase an Acura Advances, and so many different features it was getting difficult to remember them all, keep up the fantastic videos Sir.
It REEEEALLY pisses me off that they don’t offer a 360-camera and HUD on the A-Spec! 😡😡😡 The ENTIRE REASON I like the A-Spec is for the blacked out accents and black roof headliner. Why wouldn’t I want the SAFETY FEATURES of a 360-camera and HUD??? It’s a BIG vehicle!!! Do better Acura!! While I don’t think the chrome is ugly on the Advance, I just think it’s a bit too old person for me. I don’t think they realized they’re appealing to two different types of customers for both and so they should offer at least the same SAFETY features for both trims. As for your video, EXCELLENT JOB on the comparison between the 2!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Couldn’t agree more. They made an Advance, A-Spec for the RDX but not for the MDX. Very stupid thing they’re doing by not offering it on the MDX. Thanks for watching!
@@kayp4563 Which is absolutely the most RIDICULOUS marketing tactic ever bc it’s like a $25-30k price difference! Yes, let me pay $25k more for a 360-camera and HUD 🙄 Even if I’m completely off on the S-type price, if it’s more than $3k which I’m pretty sure it is, it wouldn’t even be a consideration to a buyer.
This is a great comparison video. Very knowledgeable and detailed. Thanks! Honestly I don’t love the wheel design on the Aspec. I think the Advance is way better looking overall. Plus the adaptive dampers make it a no brainer. 🤙
I appreciate it! The design of the Advance wheels are actually better to me too. They offer them in “Glint” which is a gloss black. They look great in black too! Thanks for watching!
Also consider the fact that in 2002 a Base MDX had a sticker of $35,180 which translates to $60,311.90 in todays money. Imagine paying $60K for the base today. That would really be something to complain about. The MDX with inflation considered is actually cheaper now than when it came out 22 years ago. Prices aren’t ridiculous if you’re willing to do the smallest amount of research.
Never got to see this video ahead of time but, had been shopping for a 24 A-Spec to replace our 22 Tech. ....wound up getting the 24 Advance in the end. (Helps that I got it for $59k)
I'm pretty sure all non-Type-S MDX have Amplitude Reactive Dampers, not Adaptive and you can't actually adjust the firmness of the suspension in the Advance Package and below.
The Advance does have adaptive dampers and you can adjust the stiffness of the ride. Same with the RDX, and TLX. Advance models all have adaptive dampers that change the ride depending on the mode you’re in. This info is easily accessible through Google.
@HKN_RealReviews Weird, the website must be wrong then. It only shows Reactive dampers for Base, Technology, A-Spec, and Advance and air suspension for Type-S versions.
@@nickzimmer3476 Yes air lift suspension, with auto leveling is standard on the Type-S. But the Adaptive dampers are standard on anything “Advance” made by Acura. Makes a big difference in the ride/handling. I’m actually glad they didn’t make adaptive dampers exclusive to the Type-S. The air suspension being Type-S exclusive is fine by me. The other models, Base, Tech, and A-Spec have fixed rate dampers that don’t change at all between the modes.
Great video! I've watched a ton of videos about the MDX, but this one is the most detailed and informative.
Much appreciated, thanks for watching!
I’m absolutely loving my MDX Advanced!❤ ❤❤
I know you are!!!!
I liked the descriptions of the differences of the trim level. 🙂
This was so helpful!!!! Thank you
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!

My boy I got a TLX type S and wifey got a Rdx A spec…. This video is very helpful as she is trying to see which is better
Glad I could help bro. I have plenty of new MDX content on the channel. Should make her decision making a little easier.
Thanks!
Diamond cut rims all day bruh!❤

I am a lifelong Honda/Acura guy - Prices for the MDX have gotten ridiculous now.
They’re quite a bit nicer than they’ve ever been. Price is justified IMO. They should’ve been giving the previous generation away.

I perfer to purchase my vehicle with every option no add on's... this can cost you more in the long run.
