I've tried watching your full Bryan guide but while it's super informative and has a ton of great stuff, it's really dense so this is the perfect distilled form of that for me to just get the basics down so I can know what I'm doing a bit before I come back to tackle your full guide again!
Definitely, Bryan is so cool but I bounce off the Knowledge Wall every time I consider learning him 😅 a quick video like this is exactly what I need to get in and start fucking around in quick match to see if he's for me
To all 2D FGC fans. Give Bryan a go.. The whiff punish game, heavy read goes a very long way with skills from 2Ds and he is just so much fun. Can't recommend enough, thanks for the guide.
Any tips to dash cancel out of taunt. I only pull it off 1/10 times when doing the combo: F4,2 ~ db2 ~ 1 ~ b21 ~ f24 (taunt) ff (dash cancel) ~ b3 ~ f21.
bryan is definitely a hard charcter to use. but at EVO JP, jimmy got top 20 with bryan. and there were a total of 4 bryans in the top 50. so, one can definitely get bryan to work and compete against other objectively better characters.
@@riccardotesta987 if 2 gets blocked and I delay 1 I hit it like 95 % . It´s my "safe" heat engager . I mean I am only flame ruler at this point so it might *get ducked in higher ranks ,but for now it´s a really good option.
I just picked up Bryan and I need a new controller... The Xbox Series controller d-pad is really bad for quarter-circle motions. I've gotten to Purple ranks but I feel so limited because I am scared to mis-input my quarter-circle moves so I don't even attempt them. Great guide as always from Ty!
for me personally the xbox controller has the best QC inputs by far. Backdashing is a bit harder than on the Playstation D-Pad but QC inputs feel more natural and come off easier since u dont have to move your thumb as much -> Kishin Bryan
So many characters have better keep out range and ch strings than Bryan. His power crush is slow and high, heat smash is trash. We Bryan mains have our work cut out, I think T7 Bryan is better.
@@livingashtree1942Like everything Bryan has, you have to place it right or get floated/stepped. I use it well too, but it’s far from the “win button” several characters have as their heat smashes.
Im a bryan main for 6 years and Ty supercoates bryan way too much. I know ty prop plays bryan longer than me but bryan is one of the worst and most difficult characters in tekken 8. Be prepared for lots, and i mean LOTS of losing and failing
Ty for this, I am 1 and a half months into learning Bryan, and I have lost many many games, stuck orange with a 28%WR. After watching guides, gameplay and labbing, this character is very hard to play
Im kinda a bryan main I say this because I have tried others but always come back to bryan but all that said to put a time on it I have played bryan since his debut in tekken and in my experience in t8 I have not really had a losing streak with bryan. I'm just not higher in rank currently at purple rank than switched. But if u really want to main bryan in my experience be aggressive while maintaining a defense state of kind dont repeat moves alot as his quartet circle 1 is expected as quarter circle foward 3 is also abused as u climb u will be punished
Huge thanks to Ty for this guide! Bryan was one of the most highly requested characters, so we hope you enjoy this video!
thanks for having me! i have more bryan guides on my channel if you guys are interested :) ❤❤
I just wacth u perma! Keep it up bro❤

Best bryan ❤
This was a great video thank you so much ❤

This was my exact thought as well.
This was great, new to Bryan so this really helped.
Always a pleasure 🙏
@13:23 for anyone watching, b3f21 should actually be b3f24, took me awhile to figure out
Great content, nice to hear Bryan referred to as "strong" in T8 once in a while 😅

just got into to tekken and like Brain very much!! great video

Powerful Ty. Thanks for being a Bryan loyalist.
Great guide!
He’s so fun to play as though it’s worth not being op
Did something change? I cant get the second hit of b3f21 to hit sometimes (after the dash specifically)
Command History On This Channel??? LETS GOOO! Christmas came earlier 🎉
Thank you!! I’m a Bryan main and I’m rank locked in orange
Learn some frame traps and you’ll be out of orange in no time

I main Paul but I’m tryna learn Bryan, he’s fun af
best bryan guide
what about sidestep 2,1 ? also heavy delayable
second hit is a duckable high and fairly slow if delayed

I would not use It unless you could hit confirm It
@@koYyn Don't rely on that too much, is actually reactable when blocking the first hit
@@koYyn nah you'd get killed for that in high ranks. Once they see ss2 get blocked, they immediately duck the 2nd hit even if its delayed
Any considerations with different hitboxes? when i try the same combo on someone like Dragunov it doesn't work by a small distance.
This video is so fucking great thank u Ty
1:31 Why does this move remain completely unchanged since DR?
jun guide please!!🙏

U can do the qc moves really easily with the analog, i literally only use the analog
Same I drop quarter circles online but only when I got to purple

He has one of the best heat smash😂
@@livingashtree1942Heck naw lol. Slow startup, buggy hitbox on the first still whiffing a year later lol. Good damage tho.
@BustaNAugusta funny cause i find his heat smash to be very useful
