  • In Adya’s discussion of our ever-changing lives, he talks about the koans of our life and how choosing the right question, our internal koan, in self-inquiry can help us respond to each changing moment without concretizing an answer. Quote from this Video: “We human beings have this tendency to hold on to almost everything. If we get a revelatory experience, we tend to want to hold on to that and concretize it into a new system of thought or description or explanation. As we are doing that, the flow of our lives is continuing on, and the next moment may call for a slightly different response. To really be present for what life is calling forth in each one of us is extremely important.” adyashanti.org

It seems to me that, "Be what the world is trying to become" would be an appropriate response to someone asking the question, "How is my spiritual practice relevant within the current turbulent circumstance the world I live in is experiencing?"

"What comes thus"? was the first Zen meditation Koan I was given in the 80's. I still find it to be a powerful question, pointer. "What is life calling forth"? I like this too.

In a different video snippet talking about our purpose here you said that without our consciousness here to see it the world is dark and unknown. It's our conscious participation that lights it up, that provides the awareness. So I've decided to be conscious for God.

    Grazie infinite

      Beyond all thought, it's obvious:
We don't live life; this life lives us!
