@@Rybonator wouldn't the first layer of resin pull off from the mold walls when you fill it with clear resin? Maybe there's a way to do this with inserts, though the only way I can think of would only work in a horizontal plane: make the "coloured glass" parts first, lay them down and pour in the resin that acts as the metal in stained glass. Oh, or maybe you could make a mold of just the metal part (like a frame), cure that first and then add the coloured parts? That way you wouldn't have to make inserts. Plus with inserts you need to line everything up perfectly and hope nothing shifts but that wouldn't be a problem with this second option.

Those are stunning. I am gonna attempt a warlock set with dark red and purple cold casting and a black swirl. I can only hope they look half as good as yours
These are absolutely stunning! I agree with that whole columns thing, the pillars of light in gold are so gorgeous! Mica powder makes everything better. If I ever make something like this, I may have to use that technique. Oh gosh, what class would I do like this? I'm not entirely sure. I haven't been in a lot of campaigns, and most of them get cancelled, but for one of them, I played a cleric who was a triton named Tito Devon. Hey I'm getting into dice making, and I was watching some of your tutorials and am very exited to start making some. I've been watching you for a while, but I'm now finally taking action. I was just wondering since I don't have a pressure pot/vacuum chamber what would be the best silicone for making some? Since you said I shouldn't use clear resin what would it look like if I did? And finally if I wanted to make a full die of food, would I have to sacrifice a surface or could I make one like a sprue mold. Sorry I have to try and reach out in the comments, but nothing I was looking up answered my questions like you would know.
You should consider double-inking dice: where you ink one color on transparent or semitransparent dice, so that color will show through and bounce around, and then a second layer on top to be visible from the outside. I had some transparent rainbowy dice that were inked silver, which i inked dark blue on too of that. It was very shimmery inside and still totally legible since there wasnt the numbers on the opposite side competing with the top faces

I have a question. I recently started making dice, unfortunately I found the wish molds before seeing your videos. I do not plan on selling, so I figure I can learn from them like you said. So here is the question, I have made 2 complete sets and 2 partial sets with these molds. All turned out okay, minus the mistakes (aka the partials) my 5th set came out weird. 1 complete set and the partials used art n glo, the other complete set and the weird set used unokki resin. Best I can describe the weird set is that they looked hammered. I used the same molds, cleaned them, let them dry for a few days, both sets used brushed mica powder, and both sets were pressure potted at 40 psi for 18 hours. I dunno why this happened. Do you have any ideas? I generally follow your methods, and it worked several times. I do not have Instagram or twitter, so this is my best medium
I still owe my brother a homemade dice set, and his main dnd character happens to be a lightning cleric, so if I use this I’d probably just swap the red with a sky blue. I mean, my original plan was to slap some blue color shift paint on some moss and put it in some glittery translucent dice so it looks like lightning, but this looks like fun too!
OMG the reveal of the artist formerly known as the skillshare guy! Lovely dice and the box adds so much to the set However... Last few videos have been severely lacking in the pun department
I think the box is really what makes these imo :) Are you saying I need to step outside the BOX and start thinking of puns again? Maybe that's just how I ROLL now. Either way, thank you for the N(d)ice comment! (Reaching I know...)
Could you do more inking tutorials? I would love to see more takes on like a two tone ink or trying effects inside the numbers (like a lightning effect or wispy accents). Maybe just some different outer edge coloring maybe. Just another layer to already fabulous dice.
Just a couple ideas: Do you have glow in the dark inks? Maybe some inner resin wisps with number outlines. Redo the lightning dice (I like those. Did you have a link to them or the molds?) with some inner lightning bolts and static effect inking. Finally, maybe some like…bedrock dice (Cracked effects and then like a two tone inking?)
Also, I guess another request. Have you found a good way to do…explosion clouds for lack of a better term? Maybe just clouds in general? I just started my dice making adventure (thank you for that by the way! Using a lot of your tips to start out. Currently have some cap molds setting up in tin based as my platinum based never did) and I have tons of ideas for dice. One was a sunset theme with clouds and I haven’t found a good video on it. Would you use that putty stuff you used for the waves for the wave dice?
Hey, love the channel, you got me interested in dice making! I have a question, what would happend if you introduce dye to not cured resin in mold? Would it have effect of smoke? or would it just be concentreted in one place?
Omg you're so cute. Did you try to do a forest-like dice set yet? With some flowers or smol plants in them? I've been off YT for a while and I haven't catch up with your vids, but I will find out soon >:u. Great content as always!
I really think with that "ectoplasmic " effect you get some necromancer dice out. Well, necromancer but make it ghostbuster. Clear dice, uv/glow in the dark green goo and red numbers on the dice.
i bet if you used a super clear blue base with white/very pale blue swirls this would be great for a Fathomless Warlock, Ocean/Arctic Druid, or otherwise water-themed character, because it'd look like light refracting off waves like the bottom of a pool
So I need some help guys. I have some 48 hour resin, and it's never thick enough to suspend stuff in. Granted it's always bubble free, but I'm really not sure how long I should wait so it gets thicker. I tried 40 mins and it was still to liquid to suspend stuff. (Dice came out amazing regardless, but not what I was going for)
I have that issue as well. My resin starts off very runny, so suspending anything is a real pain. One trick you can use is to dip your inclusions in a bit of resin and stick them to the wall of your mold, let them sit for a bit and then pour the rest. if you want to suspend things in the middle of your dice, it might be worth looking into a different brand of resin. I'm going to try some Allumilite and see how that goes!
@@TheoreticalLaw Unfortunately, because of my location I have little to no choice in types of resin. Luckily we make up what we lose in resin with amazing silicone.

Love the class dice
Class dice are always super fun to make :) Anything THEMED is imo
You should do artificer!
8:57 This is DM slander!! .......But honestly completely fair....
I might WEIGHT the next set >.>
Ya ever made a set of dice that look like steel or rusted metal for an artificer?
I think the hexagonal box would look nice with an icy blue for a snowflake theme.
I bet you could make a Tortle monk set that would knock our socks off! Your work impresses me!
hey man, nice work! i was wondering, do you know any programs someone could design dice on for their own projects?
This is a hobby I never knew I needed.
When it comes to sanding dice, should you sand every side? Or just the side with the sprue marks?
this probably has been asked already but can you use acrylic paint in the resin to color your dice?
@Rybonator when you put the mica straight on the molds then put in resin will the finished dice rub off any of the mica when handled?
Always nice seeing you posted
I really love the sets of Class dice - But I'm really excited for you to get to Artificer!
I really think with that "ectoplasmic " effect you get some necromancer dice out. Well, necromancer but make it ghostbuster. Clear dice, uv/glow in the dark green goo and red numbers on the dice.
Quick question! If I were to buy the box molds that are used in this video, would I be able to sell boxes made with them to would I get sued?
What psi do you put your pressure pot at? I’ve been casting some dice and don’t know how much pressure I’ll need to use for the pressure pot.
what are the dice you used to make you molds? i really like the font
i bet if you used a super clear blue base with white/very pale blue swirls this would be great for a Fathomless Warlock, Ocean/Arctic Druid, or otherwise water-themed character, because it'd look like light refracting off waves like the bottom of a pool
petri dish and putting small items in dice are the best videos
Petri dish is really hard to beat, not gonna lie haha
So, what would you recommend for a bard/cleric multiclass?
So i stumbled on your vid and love this. can i ask where you got the dice moulds from?
he made them! if you look around his youtube videos you'll find a tutorial for squish/cap molds.
@@abagoffrozenspinach Thank you id already found them but ty :)
Unrelated, however where did you find someone to customize your dice with the logo on them
Beautiful work as always
Oh my god I remember suggesting this back when he first did the infinity stone dice
Am I wrong or do coliseums normally not have a roof?
Crap, I've been called out!
@@Rybonator were you thinking of a tholos? I understood what you meant though
where do you get your premade molds from thankyou
Could you make dice in Vantablack? I think that would Look very nice.
How much resin is used to make a single set of dice?
yay more dice videos!
Why not use a semi clear shell to cold cast that way it can still be sanded
the ink made them go wooooow! O_O
People say a cleric in your party keeps your characters alive longer...
Truth is a DM with brand new Rybonator Dice gifts keeps them alive even longer.
^ Now do that AND be a cleric and you never die :P
@@Rybonator Ditch the philosopher's stone, this is how to live forever in the Forgotten Realms 🤣
i loved this, thank you!!!!! This was so satisfying.
What video did you make the liquid glitter in?
