@@xeon2773 yeah I had to transpose from trombone to French Horn even though they’re in TOTALY different clefs but they have somewhat the same sound so I play mostly the same as the first trombone
@@bunnyberryisradical i think itd be easier to just learn trombone lol especially cause french horn is hard to pitch, i play clarinet for concert band but i learned tenor sax just to play in jazz lmao
You're wrong, this song isn't from the sandlot. It's a very popular instrumental by Booker T. and the MGs and it's used in a lot of movies that take place in the 70s and it's pretty iconic because of its cool, Vietnam war era feel.
I feel like 90% of the viewers of this song are those who played/are playing this in jazz band (including me)
very accurate lol (as someone who is in jazz band)

Jazz band drummer here and can confirm that I am only here because I am playing this song.
Brings back memories. I was a saxophone and we played way too loud on our parts but nobody cared. Good times
Our jazz band tells the saxophones to play loud but in band the. Director gets mad when they play loud
on god we have one saxophone and he’s the loudest in the whole jazz…
My very first jazz song. It’s what made me fall in love with jazz.
Our first precision broke his drumsticks playing the first two drum beats

I’m French horn and my part is so hard (I’m 13 lol) you don’t know how hard it is to play an instrument until you’ve played one 😅
I mean the piano part is just 4 quarter notes
@@bunnyberryisradical probably because none of the parts in the score are even written for french horn

for any of you intellectuals who don’t know where this song is from, watch the sandlot.
I dont know what sandlot is, yet I am still familiar with this song.

Anyone else play bass here?
Me
My jazz band hates this one because it’s just repating
Playing this in jazz band, I'm trombone 2. Only 8th grader on that part, but it's because I've gotta help the two 6th graders who sit next to me.
As a bass player I hate this song so much 😭😭
Why? The bass here is superlative
