hearing this song and the original one by bruno mars brings tears to my eyes because we played this for my spring concert in 7th grade and my 7th grade 2nd semester was just GOLDEN i loved it SO MUCH and im so sad that its over but so thankful it happened.

I personally don't like this song, nor do I like performing it. I'm definitely in the minority though.
Of course, it depends on the skill level of the band, but I could think of a bunch of different standards and fusion pieces a jazz band could play instead.

Its both easy and difficult to play tpt 1 as im playing alone and the notes are easy but after playing it for a while it starts to sting on my mouth.And yes i have 6 years of trumpet experience ans im 14!

I am adding in a lot of drum fills and it sounds so good. The percussionist at Harrow Young Musicians always improvises and I like it better. However Paul Murtha is an awesome arranger and I think that the percussionists should just play there part for once.

+Alpha Lord , If you mean alternate fingers for high G, you can use open valves, 1 & 3, 1 & 2, and 3. Lot's of alternate fingers for it. This song is a really great arrangement btw.

You can just play down an octave, but that would just be 2nd trumpet.
Maybe an unpopular opinion but it just doesn't sound good when instruments imitate this kind of rap/singing, where just one note is played. But aside from that, great Arr!
