The Villages Florida, What's Happening in June 2024

This video highlights what is happening inside and outside The Villages in June 2024. It provides information on previous videos that we have published on the highlighted events. Included are Cruise In, The Villages Pools, Tubing on the Ranbow River and Swampy's Bar and Grill in Dunnellon.
Charlie and Jennifer Pryde have lived in The Villages for four years and in Central Florida for eighteen years. Our main activities in The Villages are biking, fitness parks, pickle ball, platform tennis, golf and swimming. We love to travel throughout Florida, the United States and internationally. Our TH-cam channel’s focus is on promoting a physically active lifestyle for mature adults, but we will also indulge ourselves in a good restaurant, bakery or watering hole that we find during our travels.

I'm not a resident yet. But was wondering if anyone in the know can explain these swim classes 1:34
When I retire I would like to build up my pathetic swimming skills.

They are periodically offered. Check with your nearest Regional Recreation Center once you become a resident. They will always be at the sports pools.

Are there alligators in the rainbow tubing river?

In Florida you assume that there are alligators in any body of fresh water just like you assume there are sharks in any body of salt water. That said, we have never seen an alligator in rainbow river as they tend to like murkier/warmer waters during the summer. Being that the spring water is 72 degrees and alligators are cold blooded animals, they seek warmer water elsewhere.
