I love this... How do you determine what sized image to use as the featured image header so that it won't impact page speed optimization?

Max 1920px wide, and always optimize prior to uploading! I use bulkresizephotos.com/en or ImageOptim.

Hi Adam - how do you decide which dynamic content option to use? The page editor has the Dynamic Options icon which you used in this TUT but Generate Blocks also has an Enable Dynamic Content option. You can select the same source (I frequently use with ACF). But they do behave differently. - the blocks dynamic content seems more consistent. Can't recall exact examples of how but I made a conscious decision to switch over to the blocks method. Have you noticed any differences?

Very good question, Toby. I don't have any specific method of choosing, unless for some reason the blocks dynamic options aren't showing me what I want (like "Before" and "After" text). Majority of the time I do use the blocks dynamic option instead.

Can this be done with just core Wordpress (blocks) and generate blocks plugin?

You just need the container block from GenerateBlocks and set the dynamic condition on the background to pull in that page's featured image.

You need GeneratePress as your theme. Otherwise, yes.
