This time I wanted to test whether it's easier to work with a textured palette and water brush and I loved it. The Artisto watercolor pencils are perfect choice for those who just want to test if they would like to work with this medium. I am glad I did. The color choices are a bit limited and maybe not as vivid as expensive brands, but good enough for simple coloring; besides new colors can be created by using textured palette & blending. They are nice and soft but sturdy; easy to sharpen and even the long point (as I use in my video) doesn't break.

After trying the Caran D'ache Palette I would definitely recommend to use this method, especially when drawing on a very toothy cold press watercolor paper. Happy drawing & painting! 🎨
