It is SS 2244 (42 CrMo 4)

why is there rust on it then?

@@christophercolumbus8944 under the right conditions even aluminium can rust. Hell you could dissolve gold, take example NAK-80 can rust under the right conditions while Stavax is a bit harder to rust. you could watch some of star rapids video
